Never sprouted :S

Well i germinated a seed with the shot cup method and everything went fine, i saw a tap root after a day and a half..so i got the soil ready like i did last time by soaking it and leaving it for 12 hours and after i just stuck my seed in there about a 1/4 inch in. After 4 days there was no sprout so i pulled the seed out of the soil and it seems like the tap root got very skinny and looked very dried out, but i was watering twice a day, plus it only grew about another 1/4 inch or less but the seed looked fine..I was gonna try and use the 12/12 from seed method. Do you know what went wrong? I have 2 seeds left and i dont wanna waste them, should i just have the lights on for 18/6 till the seeds sprout next time then switch to 12/12?

Soil needs to be moist not wet. Make sure there are no slow release nutrients in the soil. Try a seedling potting mix rather than the normal stuff, then just let them be without disturbing them.

Sometimes it can take up to 2 weeks for seed to sprout.. Patience is the keep to good growing.

You cant rush the process or else you're just gonna make you life and your grow hell!!

As for watering 2 times a day, thats probably what killed ur seedling. Once you moisten your soil, you should only slightly mist the top once it's dry..

Another thing to consider is when the seed hasn't broken the soil yet, you dont need lights.. Just keep the temps up with a small heating pad and use a humidity dome so they dont dry out too quick.

Good Luck with those next seeds

Peace
