Nevergood's high power garden

After paying to have some thermal testing done, I am now spending more money to avoid needing to pay someone else again. I tested some thermal pads vs. paste and a couple different heat sinks and the numbers are all over the place. The pad hit over 270*c and the COB did not fail, but it did bow the chip up. I order a FLIR TG167 spot.

When I get a chance to play with it, I will do some paste testing at high wattages.

Thanks to Alex and Ryan at Flip Chip for the testing and testing my Lux meter for a good base line. After see that my friends run 200,000 lux at all their canopies (SE HPS and DE HPS) I had them give me that reading with their PAR meter. So, my previous target under COB was only 100,000 lux. That has now changed to 200,000 lux.200klux to PPFD.jpg

And to show how bomb proof the Citizen is. Here is the thermal testing with a peel and stick graphite pad. These make it very easy and quick to apply, but the Bender and Wirth holders don't give proper pressure to the whole COB ( mainly the center) to work as designed. The COB is slightly cupped but is still running strong. When my new toy, I mean tool, comes in I will retry it with the BJB holders and see if I can get different results. The top wattages are 160w and 240w.

Thanks. I got a chance to see the HPS vs LED grow, but he never changed the position of the lights, so weigh is out of this equation. I will be able to get THC testing done though. It will be with a SE, DE, and (I think) 4000k COB. I am hoping to get this strain next, since it only needs big leafing and minimal trimming. One area that was vegged under 5000k is now much denser than anything he has put in there. For this area to be running at half the light at the hottest point (120,000 lux) and maybe half that on the whole back wall, it still looks great. It does look like he might have been lacking on Cal?

Thanks, I can't wait to smoke something new. I finally had some time to play with the FLIR and a CLU058 3618 @ 160 watts. This is how it looks on camera. Anyone know if this # would be considered Tc or Tj?
I guess I will get the picture up later. I can't figure out how at this time. The hottest I recorded was 48*c.

Smoking same thing gets boring!
Thats a passively cooled temp at that wattage and temp?
