Hey Amber, go to your local hardware store , get some soil for Vegitating
some plastic cups , suran wrap, and a ice chest , all you do is stick the seeds in cups of wet soil , about a 1/4 inch , cover with wrap place cups in ice chest, put lights on top a security light will work the bright white ones
i say about six inches between cups to lights, in about a week or two the sprouts will show if the seeds are good
when that happens take off the suran wrap and get ready to buy a MH lamp
i got a 400 w for a 157.00 new and it worked on the ones you see. this is my first time and i learned a Crap load here , Ther are Way more professional way to do it , This is the inexpensive expiremental ways , its working for me
The first pic is 1/26/07 these are from seeds that sprouted Jan 2nd , and the second is today, All in all Go for it , put them seeds in soil, if they are
good you will have smoke for the Fourth of July

I bet they germinate. Use the paper towel method and it never fails. I can honestly say I've germinated over a hundred seeds and never had one fail, except when I tried the glass method (too impatient).

i'm sure you can get them to germinate. i'd be a little more concerned about what strain they are and how they've been stored. some articles point out a relationship between storage practices of seed and the sex of the mature plant. it would also suck to germ pure sativa if you're going for an indoor grow...

Sativas can be an excellent indoor plant. I'm growing grapefruit at the moment, nearly at the end of flower, and my tallest plant is 40 inches. A bit of topping and plenty of bending has covered these plants in bud. That's the ex-mother plant in my avatar. She has 20 decent heads on her and right now has been flowering for 39 days. In the pic she'd been flowering for 28. I think that with the amount of times she's been topped that there shouldn't be any need to bend her.

wow, forgive my ignorance; i did not know that such adaptability was possible with pure sativas, SKH. how does yield from a sativa compare to a cross or indica under your lights?

I'm going to be finding out very soon... but they are looking nice, and the ones I have flowering at the mo' are in soil (my last ever soil grow!). I have some flowering in hydro too but they are only a couple of weeks in.

If from seed and you veg' for 8-10 weeks this is enough time to intelligently top your plant so that it will grow to the size you want. If they go over this height then you simply bend them back in... this has the added benefit of giving the lower buds more light so they grow into half decent colas on their own. With topping and bending you will grow a forest of bud with very few plants, also I don't use a screen as the plants support each other.

haven't tried it yet but out of curiosity i'm considering seeing what topping will do to master kush.

actually went looking for indoor sativa after reading this and found a grow on another site. the guy was doing hydro scrog on master kush but it didn't look very vigorous to me, may be part of the effects of plant-wide stress caused by such extreme training. anyway, he was just starting to flower and had spread the thing out like a welcome mat.

on your sativas, are you topping the previously topped mains?

On the main 4 plants I topped only once when they were at 6 nodes, right back down to 3. This had the effect of giving four main branches to each plant. I kinda fucked these 4 up because I vegged beneath hps. The other two were going to be mothers and after a couple of weeks vegging beneath the hps I managed to set up a seperate veg' area with a metal halide. So I put the other 4 into flower after only 5 weeks from seed, and put the 2 mothers into the veg area to run alongside the hydro grow and the experimental dwc. The 2 mothers were topped then topped again. After 2 weeks I decided that one of the mothers wasn't needed so I placed the weaker one into the flowering area. The other 4 that had been there for 2 weeks were barely showing anything, yet after only 24 hours the weak mother was covered in pistils. She has four main heads that are looking really nice and lots of little ones (of the type you can't pull off). The main mother plant has been in flower now for nearly 6 weeks after a 9 week veg and she has 20 good heads on her. With 2 weeks to go I can't see her getting much over 3 foot. Also I have been flowering the 6 plants beneath a single 400w hps in 10 litre pots.

why put yourself through the bother if you don't have to.

agreed, i do look forward to seeing what happens with yours in the end.. it's kind of crazy to think of a sativa with 20 mains!!
