I have a pro 100 and i ordered the light upgrade kit which will convert it into a pro 200. I also have another pro 200 on the way. When they get here i am going to put them in my sm homebox (OpenDNS) and i am going to use the old hood for side lighting. I will also add another shop hood with a clamp on the otherside with a 150w full spectrum CFL. I have a bubbleponics system that i made using the instructions downloaded from this sight SH Hydroponics I will use this if the plants get too big for the aerogardens. I will be using the full line of foxfarm nutes and i have a ph and ppm meter i will be using. I have 2 small 6" fans that will be cooling the plants and 6" inline duct fan with a charcole filter for the exaust. I also have a digital temp and humidty meter to monitor climate conditions. The strains that will be in the aerogardens are northern lights crossed with skunk # 1, lowryder # 2, and big bud. With the extra lighting from the sides i hope to get some good buds. This will be my first time to grow with the aergardens.. I plan to veg with the 24hr setting or the salad greens which is 16.5 on 7.5 off and the pump on 24hr. Which setting do you think i should use? I plan to use yeast for co2 and also folar fee with soda water. I plan to top my plants and clone them. Then let them veg a little longer before i flower them. I also plan on keeping the lights 1" away from the plants. Does anyone have any advise for me? Have i forgotten anything?

Just don't buy anything from Stealth Hydro!!!
why not? I was thinking about it but its seems their system is pretty easy to recreate. Still, it may be nice to get all the parts at once and $90 doesn't seem to pricey for that convenience. Just wondering if you had a bad experience or something.

You can build your for about $45 and i have read posts that their nutes that they sell suck. Check this out you can build your own waterfarm cheap Brite*Ideas*Hydroponics*and..., Brite*Ideas*Hydroponics*and..., Brite*Ideas*Hydroponics*and.... I may build one of these for a couple of my mother plants.

They sell this at the sears near my house! for 149.99
Yea those are the smallest ones that only have two smaller cfls and the extinson is only 18". With the delux , pro200 or with the light upgrade kit you get a taller extension arm 24" with three 26w cfl's that put out 1560 lumins each for a total of 4680 lumens. you can grow larer plants with out having to have to hang them. My light upgrade kit just got here today.

Does the Pro200 actually need any alteration to grow?

What do want to know? I am using my two PRO200's for starting seedlings, vegging clones and mothers in a XS Homebox. I have a S Homebox with a 2x2 ebb and flood tray under a 400W Super HPS with a 6" duct fan and CO2 that i use for flowering the clones that i take off of the mothers in the AG. I use the SOG method and it works quite well. I have seen some good grows using only the AG but you will not get the dense buds or yield that you get with a HPS. If you want to know more about the AG check out these threads https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/2923-aerogarden-club.html and https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/34120-daves-aerogarden-grow-pics.html

Figured it was better to bring this one back than start a new one.

Thanks for helpin a newb out Sticky. GREAT links.

Does the Aero Pro really require that much customizing or is it just that all these stoners have too much time on their hands? :joint:

From my perspective, a new guy just starting to read about all this, I'm surprised there has not been more simple step-by-step designs. At the same time, the "turn-key" boxes I've seen seem far overpriced. Probably something to do with the whole niche market deal huh lol.

A simple, easy to follow grow design could be promoted by anyone wanting legalization. Hard to back the war on drugs when practically anyone can grow it in their own home. The street price would drop.

Your right moyer....

And with the new aerogarden pro 200 due to the height increase and light increase helps a lot to avoid excessive modding....especially if you use lowryder or some of it's new hybrid cousins that are coming out...

The most basic modding that must be done for a regular indica/sativa would be to...

1. splice the lighting hood cord to make it longer...
2. design some sort of contraption to suspend the hood...
3. make sure to have a light tight area for absolute darkness for when it comes time to flower...(not neccessary for lowryder strains)

Now many additions can be made after this but is not neccesarily neccessary...lol... such as...

1. more lights
2. airstone or bubbler (i've never used one or the other)
3. reflective material...
4. some brand/line of nutes..
5. a fan
6. etc........

You could go on and on, it all depends on you, you can make growing pot very simple or very complicated, either way yield will be affected obviously but you'll definitley get buds no matter what as long as you get a female...

All you have to do is be creative and use your mind to come up with ideas and to research and learn...

Peace

The PRO 200 has a lot more lighting and the extension is 2' so if you grow short indica strains you really will not have to do much. Maybe add some additional CLF lighting on the sides and a air pump and air ston to the rez. And keep a fan blowing to your plants 24 hrs and use Foxfarm nutes. Do not use the nutes that come with it. They will burn your plants.

yea with a short indica you may only just have to top it once or twice...if any...

personally I've never topped any of my plants, so my knowledge on it is limited...
