New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

we got solar panels put on on our house in arizona for when our pool got cold in the winter months, it was great. or maybe you could just get a solar "blanket" that you put on the top of the water and then remove when you want to swim.

I am going to get a meter for my tent so that I know exactly what my grow is costing me, and keep it consistant...so when my son gets the electric bill i have proof what it costs. i want to keep the grow $50 a month or under. Now that I have correct numbers (thanks greg!) I can do some math.... delivery charge + supply charge of approx 21cents per kwh sounds a lot better than my blonde math of 32cents, LOL
That's still higher than a noob on his first hit of dank though. Our summer rate is only 13.5¢/kWh.

Hoping I haven't ended up with another caregiver issue. I was away for 8 days and had someone stop by to the water the plants while I was gone. That's all they had to do.

They watered the sips containers. No worries there. Those plants did fine with one mid-week watering. They forgot however to water the plants in the small veg tent. They were drooping when i got home. I watered them and they appear to be bouncing back, but now I can't xplant them today like I was planning.

Arghhh. Hoping I don't get set back another month. Sigh.......

Sorry, man. Ebb n flood trays can make a big difference with that.

The footprint of the small tent is only 18x36. I'd have to build a custom tray. I'll think it over. They pretty much made it 8 days. Well, 7 anyway. ;)

I'll figure something out. It's fun playing with different methods.

There's a tray for that.

I wouldn't suggest it if it didn't work for me, brother.

I really need to study up on how to do that. I would love to be able to leave for a week or two. Next year I have to shutdown my growing so we can go on vacation for 2+ weeks. My son can feed the cat but I don't trust him to take care of my plants.

The biggest problem I see with my setup is my 4 by 4 flood table for 3 to 6 plants. I would need a 60 gallon Reservoir?

Depends on the size of the plants. I built a setup with two 27 gallon tuff boxes that were connected by a hose and it worked great for a dozen plants in two 3x3 trays.

The plants seem to have bounced back. Just a few leaves worse for the wear. I'll let them veg a little longer once they are in the big tent just to make sure they are back to nermal. The current crop is gonna come down this week most likely.

These are ninja fruit clones. I have 4 ssdd clones I just took out of the cloner, so they may jump to next in line after the ninja fruit. Or I might pop some 1:1 cbd seeds and see how those go. I can always mom the best ssdd plant and save it for later.

decisions, decisions.....

Gorilla bomb babies born today. That is 13 for 13 of my seed bank seeds popping in less than 3 days. They will need to veg for 6 weeks and flower for 1-2 before they can go into the big tent.
30 gallons should be okay, but you'll want to monitor it for the first few rounds.
Can you veg separately with ebb and flood? Can you even transfer them from tent to tent after 6 weeks of vegging? I'm used to two separate tents for veg and flower so I can have a harvest every 8 weeks.

Absolutely! Just keep the plants in separate pots.

Chopped the current crop yesterday. Seems like a lot more mass than I had in my last grow, but time will tell.

What blew my mind was thinking that if had grown what I now was cutting less than a year ago, I would be guilty of several felonies. The state could put me away for years, take my house, take my cars. Take everything. Now, not so much.

But go to NY, NH, or even CT and do the same thing there, and you are once again in a world of hurt.

This is a crazy, f'd up situation for a plant that quite literally hasn't hurt anyone, and has helped many.

Jarred up my second grow. Got an amazing 1.6grams/watt average. My gorilla bomb produced over 2g/w with so much kief it was falling off at each touch. Certainly going to be growing for high terpenes next time I get seeds. It's hard enough to find people worthy to give it to and I love growing too much to stop.

Be careful how loud you say those numbers. A dude on here wouldn't let go of my last harvest, calling me a liar. He was seriously upset about it. No way I got that weight under COBs on my 2nd grow. He used my 1st grow as his evidence. Is it hard to imagine a guy doing most everything wrong and still getting about 10 zips from 4 plants followed by a grow doing things 90% right and almost doubling the harvest? Oh, his biggest contribution to this site? Growing with CFL's. There is no face palm meme good enough for that one.

The good thing about a large harvest and loving to grow is that weight doesn't matter anymore to me. I was always worried about supply and running out between harvests. I don't have to grow anything for about 10 months so it's play time.

I just harvested a Dinafem Blue Kush auto from a 1 gallon coco grow. She was 38" tall and awkward as hell to try and move around being in a 1 gallon folger's can, looks like she'll be around 4-5oz dry. Judging from that, I believe I'm going to 2 gallon buckets soon depending on the outcome of my current, 2nd run in 4 gallon. Unless it's absolutely astounding the 4gals are getting the boot. Not enough plant size/weight difference to justify more coco AND nutes per plant. 1 gal is too small to go 24 hours between watering. Coco is definitely a different beast than soil when it comes to plant/pot size ratio in my experience. 1 gallon coco grown auto looked just like the average 5 gallon soil grown auto. Fricken awesome.

Oh yeah. lol. I made an alcohol tincture in the magical butter machine. The 8 hour setting made with 2 oz (they recommend an 1/8 to an oz). OMG. Tastes nasty as hell but 1ml will make you're whole body feel like jello. 3mls will fuck you up for a good 8-10 hours. A full pint of this is gonna last forever.

I was surprised when I got 10 oz's from my first grow (4 plants in a 3x3). This batch is still curing but I'm sure I will blow that away. There are more buds and they are much denser. That guy is an internet fool.

But I finally tried my tincture. 5 ml's and I'm flying for at least 6 hours (I fall asleep before it wears off since I take it at night). I used an ounce of weed to about a 16-20 oz of alcohol. It's a nice option because I can keep it in a dropper bottle and no smoke to deal with.

Now I gotta see how long till I piss clean again. Half a joint is about 4 days. I figure this will be over a week but we'll see.

Haters Gonna Hate. If it's not you guys on this thread I don't really care what they say.

My tinctures are ready to come out of the closet. They have been in there for 2 months now. Turning them over every day or two. 48g of 50/50 decarbed bud-trim in each qt jar. 1 pt of vg in one and 1 pt of Everclear in the other. Now I just have to strain them with cheesecloth.

Problem with the Everclear is how badly it stings my tongue. Last time I boiled it off and ended up ruining it. This time I plan to air evaporate it. Try to get the Pint down to 30 ml then add cinnamon flavoring.
