New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

I saw that also and frankly I don't buy it. I've heard the condition referred to as a "lady boner" (sorry ladies), and was told it is a sign you are in a good vpd zone. All I know is I'd rather have them praying than cowering/tacoing/curling. ;)

^^ Ha-ha the irony. I was moving my lights daily trying to find the sweet spot and finally just turned one off. Dropping 55w. I guess they're happier now since they're praying to the lights. Which is actually why I just came to this thread. See the following.

Someone posted in a new guys thread that, "praying leaves means the plant isn't getting enough light". I've always been lead to believe it's a good thing to see. What say you? This guy is usually pretty spot on with advice other than saying treating coco as soil is better. I know that's opinion but he's still wrong, Damnit! lol

I don't know if there's a name for it so I've never seen any "science" to prove anything about it. All I'm going by as my own evidence are every time lapse video I've ever seen of these girls growing. They wiggle and dance a lot, just extremely slowly. They stretch and relax. This make me think this is just natural growth movement of a healthy plant. Then again, I've had not so healthy plants do it as well?

I've seen mention of "they do this shortly after lights on" but anyone who's run a 24 hour light cycle knows that's a joke.

Well, I suppose it was bound to happen.....

I was driving today and an ad came on the radio for a new seminar in the Boston area to learn how to become a medical marijuana caregiver. Make huge profits in as little as 5-10 hours a week.

Aha.

All I caught was it some marketing company with letters like spgm.

Oooh, a marketing seminar from an out of state marketing firm telling me how to make millions in just 5-10 hours a week! I'll be Rich, RICH they say........ Well, maybe they didn't use the term rich, but they implied it. I wonder if it's an offshoot from trump university?

Sign me up coach! not. ;)

I'm down at the boat. With a blow coming I have to double up lines and make sure everything on deck is rigged for weather.

It will likely be a miss, but I won't be able to get back again if the fool drifts west more than expected.

Usually, October is the crappy weather month. But sept has been terrible so far. Inshore is ok, but anything over 50 miles out is miserable, f' it. There is a joint that can make it go away....

Unless it comes down to something necessary to keep it legal, Boston's too much of a trek. Doesn't help that I hate the place. Hated NY city equally. Upstate is nice though. Was thinking of moving back until last fall. You could be charged for up to a lb, with distribution intent, for a seedling when I lived there for 30some years. lol

Auto fem seed making decision has been made. After consulting a guy who's been doing this for years the plan is to start the pollen plant 3 weeks ahead of the others. Glad I asked, I was thinking 1-2 weeks would be enough.
I have about 20 auto strains to choose from but thinking I'd likely have the best results sticking with one of the best auto breeders (especially with crossing). Fortunately I have 6 of those (have not tried any of them) to narrow down in the next 2-3 weeks and it's game on! Should have tons of beans from 4 plants around xmas. lol

Anyone wanna venture a guess to how many seeds I'll get? I'm thinking either zero, or, more than I'll be willing to count. :bigjoint:

Finished my girl scout cookies mainlining project. I was not impressed even though there was close to 20 oz for three plants on less than 500 watts. I also figured out that I'm using about a thousand Watts a month. That includes my dehumidifier all the fans and the lights in the veg and flower tents. Overall, I get about 2 oz a week for $300 a month. It's a lot of work but a lot cheaper than dispensary prices.

That is still fucking amazing for girl scout cookies...

Ok, my ninja fruit drama queens have turned into very well behaved young ladies. 2 weeks into flower and they are still stretching; I don't have a lot of tent left so I hope they slow down fast. :)

The smells are wonderful. Not dank, more fruity. But very pleasing. If you are looking for a low stink strain, this would be a good choice.

Hey guys - Maybe someone here can help me as I've seen a lot of talk of tinctures here. I want to make a tincture for a family member who just started chemo today. I have a bunch of rosin laying around that I pressed from dry ice kief and decarbed in my attempt to make thc vape juice. Long story short the quality was not what I was looking for and it was too dark - not to say it didn't taste good. Now I have like 10 grams of dark decarbed rosin to cook with or make tincture.

I know I can basically take the decarbed rosin and it will mix down with 40% alcohol but my question is on strength.. My family member has never used marijuana and I don't want it to be too strong - at the same time shes now on oxys so I suppose nothing I make will be that strong. I am thinking of using a 30ml dripper bottle and maybe one gram of wax.. Any idea on the potency this will provide? I am a seasoned smoker so I will test on myself but that wont be the best indication for someone with no tolerance.. I thank you in advance for some input..

Ok, I'm not an expert but this s how I would approach it if you can't get any lab analysis on your gear (and there is a home test unit that will give you mg/gm analysis for about $250 but I can't recall the name - I can find it if you need it).

Assume your rosin has about 75% thc. Rosin tech rosin tests out at about that number so it's a good starting point.

So for ever gram of rosin you add to your base (ethanol, vg, whatever) you are adding 750 mg.

So to keep it simple, if you dissolve 1 gm of your rosin into 10 gms of vg, each gram of vg will have 75 mg of thc.

So how much to give? Start with a 10 mg dose and work up from there. If they are new to cannabis, they should feel 10 mg. Their target dose may be as high at 1000 mg if they have cancer, but they will have to work up to that over time. It will depend on their comfort level with the effects.

From what I've heard, it's better to start with a weak dose and ramp up. If you clobber them too quickly they won't ever come back.

Water temps are ten degrees too high.
