New Coco dtw grower... Basic questions

The suff kicks ass on mxi bloom . What sucks about maxi is it doesnt fully disolve and there is a bunch of shit at the bottom
the peters is a very well balanced formula with out the bs
I recommend mixing 48 ounces of the hydro in 1 gallon of water and 32 ounces of calcium nitrate in the other gallon container (3 parts to 2 parts ratio)
you now have highly concentrated liquid nutrients that go along way and these are now ready to be used at a 50 50 ratio
example. 5 ounces of one 54 ounces of the other into your reservoir
etc when running the peters
you can use less ppm?ec as its lower in P which gives qa higher Nitrogen and Potasium level at the same
ppm as other formulas more than 700 ppms on a .5 ec scale is not needed. Nothing else is needed
That bolded part is what's confusing me coolman... I'm sure that's just at typo since you said a 50/50 ratio, and 5 ounces of one and 54 ounces of the other isn't anywhere close.. haha.
But are those amounts mentioned the numbers I should use in my reservoir ? For example, after I mix the 48 ounces of hydro mix (5-12-26) into 1 gallon of water, I take that new concentrated liquid and add 5 (Fluid ounces?) ounces per gallon to my reservoir? That can't be right as I would be adding like 147 ML and that is just outrageous. So any idea of how many milliliters per gallon I should use of each after they are made into their liquid form?

...yeah man, what he's describing is a way to pre-desolve the base into it's own concentrated liquid that is then further diluted when you need to use it and he's also suggesting you do that with the calcium nitrate.

...first i want to say that i agree wholeheartedly that the Jack's is the shit and it was MaxiBloom that led me to the Jack's, i grow in coco hempy buckets and i used the MaxiBloom for about a year and it was at the recommendation of another grower that i decided to switch to the Jack's.

...anyway, i don't pre-mix mine i just mix it as i need it, what i do is i use 2 gallon containers to mix mine and i just use 1/2 teaspoon each plus about 1ml of ph down and i'm good to go, ...you want it mixed so there is 3 parts of the base and 2 parts of the calcium nitrate per gallon but you'll notice that the cal/nit has larger granules so a level teaspoon of each works out to just about a 3 to 2 ratio, close enough anyway.

here's a couple Jack's Pro bud shots.

...note that these are only in 2liter coke bottle coco hempys.

...now i grow in larger containers so i get bigger plants.

Jack's Pro for the win!

Holy beautiful plants !! You have me drooling over here with those pictures. haha.. Whats the strain of the plant in the picture #2?? that is just amazing.

But as for the nutrients, you say 1/2 teaspoon of each mixed into 2 gallons. Does this mean 1/2 teaspoon per gallon? so for the base you add a total of 1 teaspoon for 2 gallons, and 1 teaspoon total for 2 gallons of the calcium nitrate? It's hard to find people with their feeding schedules on this stuff, but I just found a thread about 5 minutes ago someone saying they used the amounts you are telling me... basically just 1/2 teaspoon of each per gallon the whole way through.. Sounds simple enough.. I'm gonna give this a try and see if I can't get some ladies to look like the ones in your first picture... That is just mind boggling, plants that small with buds that big... Unbelievable.

actually no man, i mean 1/4 teaspoon each per gallon so 1/2 teaspoon each per container and i have to admit also that the containers i use originally contained kitty litter and actually measure almost 2.5 gallons so my solution is even weaker than i said, lol, ...this shit works man and it's so freekin' easy it almost feels like cheating!

anyway, here is a thread that goes back a couple years where you can get the skinny on Jack's Pro and do yourself a favor and visit the threads of some of the posters in this thread so you can see the results, ...it was those results that convinced me!

Jack's Pro Hydro

...oh, and that purple bud was from a cross i made using a Pure Kush mom and an AK47 daddy, ...and thanks, it did indeed come out nice.

...the first shot of the 2 together was a pair of White Rhino's and the last 2 with the pop bottle i forget what those were, i'm pretty sure they were from another of my own crosses but those were from a few years ago and i just don't remember, lol, ...oldtimers disease don't you know.

I am interested to see how your system is working? I am going to get the parts to make my own dtw system tonight...There is so little info on the net about DTW coco grows...its pathetic. I feel like we are pioneers( although I know we're not lol) Mine will be a smaller setup...25 possibly 30 plants in 3 gallon grow bags...50/50 Canna coco and Perlite. 1000W HPS and for now the strain will be NL#5. This is my first indoor grow in 10 years...back then I used 2L bottles with soil and wicks..and having great success ( 1/2 OZ per bottle with clones being flipped to 12/12 immediately after rooting) I am hoping to see ven better success with my current set up...I am subbed and watching and learning;-)
