New dwc/perpetual indoor setup for winter

What's up everybody. Finishing up the outdoor season and getting ready to bring the operation back inside. Going with a new set-up. I'm looking to do a perpetual dwc setup.
Start 4 new cuttings every month. Clones root for 2 weeks. Veg for 2 weeks in 3 gallons buckets. Then off to flowering in 5 gallon buckets. 4 weeks into flowering ill start 4 new clones. Root 2 weeks. Veg 2 weeks. Then into flower. Start 4 more and so on.

I'm planning on grabbing a 315 cmh for light. If not I will use the 3 600w hps I have.

I will most likely get a 4x4 tent for clones and veg and a 8x8 or 10x10 for flowering. Id rather go big so I have the space if I need it. Going to use the general hydroponics lineup.

Setting a goal of 2 units a month from the 4 plants. So hp per plant.

Let me know what you guys think. Any recommendations or questions to help me reach the goal

Thanks fellas

How do you plan on training them? I'm planning a perpetual that should be going in a few months. It's definitely more to think about than the average grow.

Thanks for jumping in on this. I am planning for a short veg phase of just 2 weeks possibly 3 depending how it goes. So my plan is to take nice cuts for clones (probably around 10inches) once rooted I'm debating whether it'd be worth topping (And having slower growth for a couple days) at a point where it would give me 4 main shoots to work with. Or let it grow a little bit and stick with a light pinch and bending technique to Bush it out a bit.

What is your plan? Are you a dwc/hydro grower or soil.

Perpetual deffinatly takes some more planning and paying attention to everything a little more. If able to pull a couple units a month though, worth it all day long haha

Nice, I see. I'm actually going to be switching over to dwc. It will be new to me but I'm up for the challenge. New clones go into flower every two weeks as a batch are finishing up.

Have you ever grown an 8oz plant before with only a few weeks veg? It seems a bit over optimistic.
I wish I had haha but no I have not. But that's the reason I'm asking. Trying to get a good idea of the veg time required with dwc to reach that goal. If its more like a month then that's what I will do. A guy I just linked up with today (my friends neighbor) showed me his setup today. He's got about 14k into it, 4 big led lights, ro system, dehumidifier, a.c. all sorts of gadgets that monitor temp and humidity ph ppm. One that monitors temp and humidity and automatically fixes it when it gets too high or low and sends him alerts on his phone whenever something is not where it should be. Another thing similar to that but for the ph. He has 2 mother plants, 4 clones, and 4 in flower. One plant per light. He was getting between 6 and 8oz per plant but Was explaining how he changed a couple things that were lowering his yield and is expecting,
to get closer to one unit per plant now. So I'm going to do a setup similar to his. So once his flowering plants finish he immediately cuts clones which then go into flower 2 months later. So they must take 10-1= days to root then he vegs for 6 weeks

Yeah the 6 week veg will make a massive difference.
I have been perpetual for the last 7 years, with my old hps set up split into 3 staggered harvests it was the veg time that limited my yield considerably. Now I use LED but I split my tent into two sections instead, and aim for 4-5 weeks veg instead of 3-4 and the difference is a lot. The last harvest was late going in and got 6 weeks veg, they beat all records previously with 37oz from 4 plants from a 4x4 space. I grow in coco though, veg is a bit slower.
If you get a good hydro system then you will be able to veg them so much more, but still your original veg time will limit your crop.
Sounds like your on the right track now though. I'm limited with veg space, but if you can make sure everything is more than ready and stay ahead of schedule with vegging then you will be able to give them more time and get more back in weight. :bigjoint:
