I don't recommend that. Any pests around could invade the plant. Just got to go with the flow up in New England man. I deal with the bullshit every year. Nothing you can do about it sadly. If you do get rot and shit and can't control it all you can do it chop it. 9/10 times in NE your shit won't reach 'finish' time. Too much rot and fog and rain and cold weather. At least up here in Maine. Gets rough in October.

Had a tiny bit of white powder on two leaves of one plant today that seems to be close to done...

It got worse since yesterday. The pasta bowl drifted considerably west.
SE Mass and RI are in peril for sure, but even northern maine could see effects depending on track. Not a super storm, but enough to kill power and cause localized flooding.
Forecasts have it here weds. Not a lot of time to pull boats or cover crops. Good luck folks!

Lets hope for the best with that storm. Six of mine are in pots so I could put them under cover. But I need to find out something for my big babies. Best of luck everyone....And I don't think I've ever had a plant go all the way. It's always rot that makes me pull them every year.

Those are actually at my friends house. He has been very attentive to them so that are doing well. He Will be able to take them in at night and back out in the am during October. they showed flowers aug 15 so we think the Kish will finish end of September(she went 60 days indoors) and the blue Balls mid to end October(she went 70ish days indoors).
So do you think it will be like last winter in Tahoe/Mammoth this year? @BobBitchen
