WELL, I HAVE BEEN CHECKING OUT THIS SITE FOR A BIT NOW. I WOULD LIKE TO INTRO MYSELF...MY NAME IS JSGRWN...THEATS JUSTGROWIN. I HAVE BEEN A GARDENER FOR A WHILE NOW, BUT BEFORE THE KNOWLEDGE WAS JUST PASSED DOWN FROM THE FAMS. IT IS NICE TO SEE SUCH A STRONG COMUNITY OUT THERE. LEGALIZE IT. WELL ANYWAYS, I GUESS I WILL INTRO YOU TO SOME OF MY LADIES. THEY ARE PURLE URKEL. ITS TOUGH HAVING THAT NAME AND ONLY COMING PURPS HALF THE TIME. HERE THE SUMMER IS HOT AND THE WINTER IS COLD, SO HALF THE YEAR MY INDO IS GREENISH PURP AND HALF THE TIME IT IS DARK PURP, NEARLY BLACK. BECAUSE I VENT FROM UNDER THE HOUSE...GOOD IDEA HUH. ITS ALWAYS PRETTY COLD UNDER THERE. WELL I GUESS I WILL SHUT UP NOW. HERE ARE A FEW PICS FROM DIFF STAGES, YOU COULD CALL ME A CONSTANT GARDENER. MOST MATURE RIGHT NOW ARE AT 20 DAYS. OH YEAH: I VEG UNDER T5S AND FLOWER UNDER MH...I KNOW YOU ARE THINKING THAT I NEED AN HPS BUT TRUTH IS I GET A MORE POTENT CROP WITH MH. AND AVERAGE 2 ZIP PER PLANT. MORE UVB LIGHT IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE QUALITY OF THE BUD.

Can you get some side pics not so close up. I noticed mine look crazy bushy from up top, they might be =o. tiny toes =o

they look pretty sweet to me...
but i would like to see the spacing betwen the nodes

I think they look good. if you veg with a t-5 why dont you flower under the t-5 with blue spec lights? just curious to know because one of my t-5 is dual spectrum and i get decent results from it.

THIE IS THE SAME PLANT THAT I SHOT FROM THE TOP BEFORE...SEE WHEN THE START FLOWERING PERIOD I REMOVE THE BOTTOM 50% AND SWITCH TO 12/12.

have any of you lollipopped the bottom 70%? i have seen it in a grow journal a while back. they hacked almost all of the branches off and staked them and got over 1 g per watt. everyone in the tread was like "what are you doing" you are not going to get much bud. and poof lbs of weed.

id like to hear more about that. could you explain why that would work?

Your plants look great.
I did however notice that you flower under a mh exclusively and it shows in the flowering pics.
I have found that mixing blue fluro tubes and a dual spectrum hps works very well.

Can you say exactly why you prefer weed that has been flowered exclusively under mh bulbs and if you have tested for increased potency or if it was such an increase that you instantly just knew it was much stronger.

Can you also give an explanation of why you think that blue light gives a higher thc content

THE CONCEPT IS SIMPLE...THE MORE LIGHT THE BETTER, BUT WHEN YOU HAVE A STRON STRAIN THAT FILLS OUT NICELY YOU GET A LARGE DENSE CANOPY, THAT MEANS THAT THE LOWER BRANCHES DO NOT RECIEVE MUCH LIGHT IF ANY. SO YOU REMOVE THEM, IF YOU DONT THEN THE LOWER BUDZ WILL BE VERY SMALL AND FLUFFY. BY REMOVING THEM THE PLANT DIVERTS THE ENERYGY TO THE TOP OF THE PLANT NEAR THE LIGHT. I HAVE NEVER REMOVED MORE THAN 50%, BUT I HAVE SEEN MUCH MORE REMOVED WITH BETTER RESILTS THAN I GOT.

THIS IS A DIRECT QUOTE FROM ED ROSENTHAL: Metal halide (MH) lamps can be used for flowering, but there are two problems that they have when compared with high-pressure sodium (HPS) lamps. The first is that they don't emit as much total light. HPS lamps emit more than 20% more light, so MH lamps are not as intense when covering the same area. Second, they do not emit as much orange and red light as HPS lamps. These spectrums seem to promote flowering.

However, MH lamps do have several advantages over HPS. First, they are less expensive to purchase. Second, the light does not have a really weird telltale
spectrum. It looks white, not pink or amber.

Third, the lamps emit more UVB light than HPS lamps, although still in very small amounts. The amount of UVB light plants receive is directly related to the quality of the buds. The more UVB, the higher the quality.

Buds grown under MH light will not be as big as buds grown using HPS lighting. However their quality will be as good or better.

ED IS AGRUABLY THE BEST GROWER IN EXISTENCE. SO I TOOK HIS WORDS AND DID AN EXPERIMENT. MY RESILTS...3% DIFFERENCE IN THC CONTENT. HPS GAVE ME 17% ACCORDING TO THE TEST KIT AND THE MH GAVE ME A BIT OVER 20% THC. THE DIFFERENCE IN SIZE WAS NOT TOO BAD...HPS GAVE ME AN EXTRA 4-8 GRAMS PER PLANT.
AND FOR 20 DAYS I THINK THE BUD DEVELOPMENT IS ON PAR WITH HPS, THE DIFFERENCE DOESNT START TO SHOW UNTIL THE LAST 3-4 WEEKS. THANKS LATE

thanks for the feedback, i have experimented a lot and been trying to find the ultimate grow technique. we will se how these turn and adjust if needed.
