New guys first indoor grow

Hey all, thanks for stopin by, I'm doing this mainly for my self an to be keeping track of my flaws an perks as I endeavor into the world of growing indoors. But with that said I accept all feedback and constructive criticism as I am a newby an expect to make mistakes, since it is my first real attempt to grow some quality herb.

The set up.
-315 w LEC with 3100k bulb that I plan to run the entire grow, heard good things bout the light hope it hold up to the talk.
-2foot micro spectrum Kind led light that I pan to use mainly for flowering but ive been using it in the tent with the LEC.
-in a 5x3x7 grow lab tent
-8" hydrofarm intake with good hepa filter on it
-8" outtake and I am technically dumping the outtake into the same room that the tent is in for now which I might need to change.
-2x 6" clip fans in the tent to circulate the air
-was struggling with heat (will explain below) so I got a evaporative cooler which helps keep the room atleast 6 degrees cooler in the hottest part of the day, and help keep the humidity almost perfect for vegging.
-self activated co2 bag to help plants deal with warmer temps

So i've already had some failure which lead me to document my failures' and hopefully my to come success. I had success germinating 4 out of 4 g13 labs Pineapple express seeds with the paper towel in a plastic bag method as I've used before with success for outdoor grows, the problem came when I went to transplant. I put 2 right into Fox farm ocean forest potting soli an they took for a little bit but I think because I was running the LEC I heat stressed/ gave them more light then was needed at that stage of life but mainly heat stress. they only got about maybe half inch tall and stopped growing. that's when I went to the grow shop an bought bigger fans. was using smaller fans trying to be cheap on that part I learned my lesson. I also picked up that bag of naturally releasing co2(might need 2).
At the same time as putting 2 into soil I put 2 into rockwool and put into a propagation dome. With plans to put in a 1 plant 5 gal. res DWC tank. one sorta sprouted but not all the way before it stopped and one didn't at all.
So being as I am I put the 2 in soil outside in my outdoor garden in my backyard, and went to a reputable breeder and got some clones.(perks of Colorado) I ended up with

-1x blue dream (hunted it down for the dwc)
-2x white lemon (thought it might grow similar to the blue dream)

I transplanted my clones on Saturday 6/17/2017 and they all have been doing well since. I see roots already made there way down threw the clay pebbles. I should have said "a" root but still..
The things that I changed were
-airflow
-co2
-raised light (3 feet from top of tallest plant)
-18/6 instead of 24h of light(light off from 2pm-8pm)

I'm using general hydroponic nutrients flora trio for the DWC an I may have done the first take a little light and forgot the calimagic(noob) which I hope I can get away with till at least Friday. the nutes are also a little light for the first bucket I did. I have 4 gallons in the tank. have been keeping the PH right around 5.5 been checking and adjusting daily. ppm is between 300-400 I think it would be perfect with the calimagic.

1.5 tsp floraMicro
3/8 tsp floraGro
3/8 tsp floraBloom
using distilled water so I really need to get the calimagic from general hydro also
The Blue Dream is in the DWC so I really hope to get that right and test my training/ topping skills.

I put the 2 white lemons in ocean forest soil again and will be giving them fox farm nutes every other watering and to be honest I haven't measured the nutes as closely as I should be. I only need about a quarter of water for both of them at watering time before it starts to get to the bottom and overflow. I usually have about 1.5 tsp per gallon with fox farm.

I will update with pictures as soon as the lights come back on for the night.

Thanks for reading.

I don't use straight FFOF soil for seedlings bc it's loaded with nutes. It's actually really hot soil. I've grown their pineapple express. That's what my avatar is. I just started PE version 2 a week ago. I can't help you on hydro questions as I'm strictly soil for now. Good luck on the grow.

Edit:
If you search lucas formula that's what I use. Same nutes. But you don't need the micro. There's plenty of it in just the the grow and bloom. Might help if you get into trouble. Jus need those and calmag.

Thanks for the tips, I did put a couple inches an a pocket around the center of fox farms light warrior for the seedlings, and also the new clones. Really hope the PE can pull threw outside an can bring in to flower in a few months

I second the statement about the FFOF being hot. This is my first grow and with autos. Every time I nute the girls they don't like it. Finally today I gave them 1/4 of suggested dose in week 5 and they are fine
