Hi all. Last week I upgraded my 250W MH Hortilux light with a new enclosure. I did have it in an Econowing, but I finally ponied up and got a Sunsystem Sunlight enclosure with the glass lens insert. I have it ducted for ventilation, as well. It is EXTREMELY efficient at keeping cool now that it is vented and glassed. I did keep it about 20" from the tops of my plants with the Econowing, but I have read on here and in the Sunsystem booklet that with the lens you can move the light closer. I remember from the 101 FAQ post about how to keep the light far enough away so you don't feel the heat on your hand. However, I can put my hand right at 5 inches from the glass lens before I feel any major heat. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good height to try. I don't want to lower it too much and accidentally burn the plants. Thanks for the input.
