Well someone has gifted me a San Pedro cutting, and I'm unsure on how to keep it, and completely miffed on how to plant it.
I'd like to take cuttings whenever possible, to have multiple Pedros going!
Any tips are appreciated ,
Happy Trails

You remember which side is top and which one the bottom? How long has it been cut (is the bottom side freshly cut or is it nice and calloused [hard] all the way?) get some potting soil and pumice. If you can't get pumice get large grain perlite. Mix the two at a ratio of 1:1 when you have finished mixing and fill a pot, make sure it has holes on this pot for maximum drainage.

Finally place the cactus on the (dry!!) soil and leave in a sunny warm location (mainly just warm as it is winter) make sure its not too dry (don't water) but you don't want to put it in a spot in front of a fan for instance where the air is dry too

Need to transplant my cuttings this weekend too. Is there a point at which I should recur if they have been sitting a while?

Fully calloused and hard

If they are fully calloused get it in the soil! I got another cutting today bringing my total to 9 cactus in January which is 9 more then I had December. I think I need a 12 step meeting

Mine is also fully calloused, but where I live is cold and super rainy in the winter, the air inside can be damp as well. Should I plant or should I no?

I was curious are they legal to grow as long as your not extracing ? I can get peyote seeds just wondering if any of you grew any ?

@throwdo peyote is illegal to grow or possess unless you're part of the Native American Church or a tribe. You can grow San Pedro and Peruvian Torch legally, but it's very illegal to extract.
