New Seedlings look ok??? First Grow

Hey guys, first post here and also my first grow!

It's been about a week and half since germination started, seedlings are in soil, and about 4 inches away from a 125W CFL.

I'm not sure if it's just stoner's paranoia, but the first set of true leaves seem a bit too yellow around the veins. Have included a pic, it shouldn't be s nute problem at this stage should it???

I hope i'm just being paranoid, but if anyone thinks theres a problem, any help would be much appreciated, so i can correct it before it's too late!

Some strains do that when coming from seed. I have done blueberry in the past and now some white skunk ( great white shark ) that did the same thing happening to you. You inquired about nute problem. Piece of advice when it comes to seedlings or clones you can kill them with nutrient kindness. I myself do not give nutrients to seedlings ( until i count 3 sets of true leaves) and with clones after about 3-5 days after transplant to soil in rockwool. Looking good and best of luck.

Yeah i thought it was way too early for them to need nutes!!!

That gives me that bit of reassurance I needed! lol

Your plant looks just fine, avoid giving it anything other than water. Every seed comes "built" with it's own set of nutrients so it will be good on it's own for quite a while. There will be a time down the road when you can make adjustments to produce a better yield, but for right now just let nature do it's thing and you'll have a happy plant.

have been watering when only when i can feel the top couple of inches being dry, as i have read various places.

However today I came across another problem, i could see root coming through the drainage holes on the pot, i have quickly transplanted into bigger pots using the same soil and gave them a bit more water, I hope this was the right thing to do, although I have read that transplanting young seedlings can be a bit risky?!?!

Hope they survive, did I do the right thing guys???

roots will quickly stretch out to find sources of water, don't worry if you see a root or two poke through. Yes, it means you need a bigger pot, but it isn't a immediate threat.

It's been done now lol, do u think they'll be ok at less than 2 weeks old??

3 hours later and they are looking fine!

At least I know not to panic so much if it happens again!

if anyones still about here, i thought i'd post a pic, since the transplant the second set of leaves has started to show, and the first set has probably doubled in size, feedback would be great!

what nutes are ya using?

my grow is a little older than yours but none of my seeds has yellow like that...

lol the yellow worried me too, but it seems its just the strain as like u say the seedling itself looks quite healthy, also if I move it from directly under the CFL it doesn't look yellow at all.

As for nutes, none have been added at all, just used regular potting soil from local garden shop, and have been watering with bottled spring water. As suggested everywhere I shall not be giving them any until they are older.

only thing is the bigger of the 2 seems to lean quite badly to one side. whereas the slightly smaller one is vertical, she straightens up during the 4 hour dark period then seems to slowly tilt over again throughout the day, but i'm hoping this will just sort itself out as she matures, if not, I was gonna lst her over to one side anyway

latest issue, some people are saying my seedlings are too small at about 2-3 inches for their age, around 2 weeks???

Any views on this one?

how big are ur plants, would be good to compare cos i'm starting to think mine should be bigger
