New soil

I had been using Miracle-Grow for 6 years with good results. Now I'm trying Roots Organics from a local shop. I always wanted to try the"super soils" but I didn't want to pay the shipping. The guy at the shop says my plants will be bigger but I have a small area to grow in. I just want bigger buds. What do you figure?

Roots organic isn't super soil it has a good bit of nutrients however it won't last start to finish I use greenfield to mix with my supersoil sometimes. But you'll have to top dress along the way to get it done.

how can you say this? he hasn't told us what his light is. nutrient requirements are directly related to the amount of light the plants get. he said its a small area. if he is using cfls or say a 90w led and its roots original it wouldn't need anything else. if he has a 600w hps or say a 315 cmh yes he would need more nutes

I have a Tasty LED T2 2100

Why buy roots organic, then use bottled nutes? I'd recommend top dressing with Bat Guano, Kelp Meal, Alfalfa Meal, Neem Meal and Earth Worm Castings instead of your bottled nutes.
Sounds like a lot of work I like to keep it simple 1/2 gallon of water than later in the week 1/2 gallon nutes etc,etc

Really. It's not a lot of work at all. It's organic to go with your organic soil.
But hey, bottled nutes work.

Tasty led t2 2100 if i remember right is just under 200w cob it almost replaces a 4oow hps. Probably will not have to use any nutes untill flower.

Why not just take those things and mix it in the soil. Cook it for 30 days and simply water the plant?
The choices of things to use are vast. You could do better then that group too.

I have a way better mix that doesn't involve cooking soil starting with a simple base mix that hasn't already been amended. I was simply giving him a top dressing alternative over using bottled nutes.
I'd be careful what you add to an already amended soil as well. He's using Roots Organic.

GrowGorilla thanks man. Its Cheese Dawg & is suppose to flower for 60 days & its only been 42 days so i was thinking is it too early to be done

From the pic it's done, IF that is a picture from the bud and not the sugar leaves. Sugar leaves will turn amber before the buds so don't judge by the leaves.

When I was running Miracle grow I never used nutes until the actual flower. Things will be different now?

I usually veg for two months. When turn the light to 12 I start another seed. Works pretty good for Indica.
I veg for 63-70 days from seed and usually flower for 63-70 days as well.
I start more seeds about 6 weeks into flower since I don't have a second tent for veg. I just stick the solos under a t5 in a closet with a fan.
