Hey all,

New to autoflowering plants but experienced grower... I want to run a project using heating cables in the soil in the middle of winter to run no more that 20 autoflowering plants to pull at least 2 pounds any less doesn't really seem worth it. Is this possible. I'm in a part of the world that still gets reasonable amounts of sun in winter and not many frosts... I'm looking for advice on high yielding autoflowering strains that people have actually grown not myths created by seed company's and bro science if you know what I mean... Also looking for any advice on running, setting up this project... What sort of yeilds can I expect from autoflowering plants... The one I'm thinking about at moment is auto critical by female seeds (I rate female seeds pretty reliable and honest, stable and not a high hermie rate in my experience although not a fan of feminized seeds normally I will use them for this project)

Cheers

Exactly how much sun do you get in the winter. I know I've ran and feed the exact same strain at the same time, 1 under 18-6 and 1 under 12-12 and feed all the same. With this being said the 12-12 produced about less than 1/2 of the 18-6 plant. It would really depend on exactly how much light their going to get. Then the weather is another thing.

Yep. What Jimmer said. I have found that Autos do not like it cool or cold. Seems like they grow the best at about 80. Royal Queen AK 47 gets big. The biggest I have grown with solid buds.

Yeah I'll be getting around 8 hours direct sun at the lowest in winter so will be enough sun also remember the sun is far more intense than indoor lights... How much are you getting of them at most assuming perfect conditions plants getting right nutrients, correct ph ect...
