New to auto's with a few questions

I'm just growing my very first so called autoflower. It is said to be Lowryder. I planted 5 seeds, got 2 males, 2 hermies and one female. I only kept the female.
Problem: it just kept getting bigger and did not start flowering. It started to outgrow my tent.
After 5-6 weeks I changed to 12/12. Now, after 12 weeks from seed, is still not ready to harvest. It looks scrawny, has a lot of buds, but they're fluffy.

I'm thinking it was not an autoflower?
Also sounds like bad genetics.

Question: will an autoflower flower sooner if started at 12/12?

Can you control the height of an autoflower by trimming/topping?

You likely got your Auto's mixed up with some crappy reg's along the lines somewhere. 12/12 lighting on an auto-flower would not force it to flower. I highly doubt it anyways. Personally I wouldn't top an auto.. but that seems to be a photoperiod plant, and since it's flowering I wouldn't recommend topping for this stage. looks like it's in week 4-5 of flower if it were to be photoperiod. Most likely more than a month to go.

Good luck with the grow. Are you using one of the habitats?

Thanks for the feedback. Good info.

I'm not planning on topping this plant at this stage. I just planted a few skittlez autoflowers and wanted to get feedback for this next round.
I'm super annoyed with this so called Lowryder! I also think it has at least 2-4 weeks to go.
Yes it is grown with the small undercabinet habitat, but with the new Ditto Max flower circuit. A custom test light. I have 3 small test cabinets going to test different spectrums and intensities. I also have 2 larger cabinets going for larger plants. I have some really interesting data of clones grown identical, except different spectrums.
