New way of cloning?

Hey guys,

Well not necessarily new, however I was wondering if anyong has ever done it with marijuana. I work in a lab facility and have been doing some experiments growing different plants such as lillies, strawberries in nutrient agar grown in a diurnal chamber.

Basically a diurnal chamber is a controlled grow environment (looks like a fridge) where you can control light intensity, spectrum, temperature, humidity and is extremely sterile as is the lab facility. Its actually very interesting as you can gro an entire plant using only minute pieces. and just transplant from small cubes with nutrient agar into containers of choice.
The cubes themselves have an agar gel with various nutrients needed by the plant and growth regulators, gibberelling, auxins etc which is another topic to be discussed in itself. Any thoughts or opinions are welcomed.

There are companies that sell kits for it.

I was just reading an article on a guy who was praising this method, saying that he was able to culture 65,000 cuttings off of an orchid (I think it was) in a 6 or 8 month period, because the amount of plant material needed was so minute.

I've been wanting to try.

It's pretty neat, it does take a while to get them started if you are only using pieces but I literally can make 12-15 plants potentially from one small leaf of a lilly plant
