I see your thermometer strapped to the corner pole!
Have you tried leaving it in the canopy for a bit, to check the corner is a fair representative?
I have moved it around to a few different places and it has not really made a difference. For my next grow I will be trying to find a better solution for monitoring the temp and humidity. I would like to log the data so I may go with an aduino and some probes and see what I can come up with. There are a lot of options out there though, I need to do some more research.

I've had a USB microscope a good while now but I can't seem to get as close to the trichomes as shown in those pics in this journal . it's 80x too ! prolly doing it wrong
I have not tried one of those but you should be closer than I am at 80x or even less for that matter, I am not familiar enough to say for sure though. The biggest difference is really going to be the sensor and glass. I assume the sensor is less than 1 megapixel (1280x960) and the lens fairly small. The picture it produces is going to be a lot less clear and lower resolution than a digital camera. If you have decent digital with a zoom lens (I am using a 200mm for the ultra close shots) getting a macro conversion lens is only ~60 bucks and it will get you very close. The very close up shots I posted are just crops from the full size picture (4912x3264) so only about 5 percent the size of the full picture..

  • Day 105 (48 Flower)
    • Still going strong. A little purple showing up on the top leaves, Nirvana says purple under cool night temps is possible so not worried yet. Cupping has not gotten any worse so just keep on going with the every other day watering. Some of the top buds seems to be getting close to done. Nirvana says 9-11 weeks flower so hopefully the tops will be ready soon, still some clear stems on those trichs but I plucked one of the small lower buds for a sample. (couldn't help it!) It's hanging in the tent now, cant wait to get a taste :weed:

  • Day 108 (51 Flower)
    • Not sure what to do about this. Have some lightening and spotting at the end of some of the lower leaves. In week 8 of flower now, should I feed it at this point? Harvest will start pretty soon but I would like to have a double harvest and leave some of the lower stuff to plump up a bit.
Pic of the discoloring..

Got a tip that it could be an issue caused by PH. I watered about 1.5 gallons at 6.7 and measured the run off (after a calibration) and it is about 5.7. Will put a bit more PH up in the water the next few feedings. Ironically enough my well water has seemed to come up a couple points in Ph so it was trying to help me out :P

  • Day 112(55 Flower)
    • Almost 8 whole weeks of flower down.. Looking at the very tops they are getting about ready, still a few clears a bit further down in the buds. Maybe one more week before I pluck a few of the top ones. Really need to get my harvest time game stepped up. I have jars and hygrometers but I do not know where I am going to hang them to dry.. Was thinking I would do it in the tent but it seems like darkenss would be better. My humidity is super low now too so gotta hurry and get it figured out..

Humidifier came in this week so I have it running in the area with the tent. Only been in there about a day now and seems to be keeping a good high 40%rh in there (low 20s right now otherwise) so that is good enough for me. Went ahead and plucked a decent size nugget off the top for sampling. Got it hanging up in the newly humid area, cant wait for another taste.

Awesome....
Those lights are badass...
Do they put off much heat?
Beautiful plant btw...
Thanks! At the max brightness they are hot but you can still hold your hand on the heat sink. At the lower levels they were just barely warm to the touch. I am ~7F higher than ambient in the tent right now running full power so still not bad compared to other lights. Also these are driven a little higher so the temperature would be lower running a more efficient setup.

  • Day 119 (62 flower)
    • She is nice and ripe... Less white hairs forming and the trichs are looking cloudy. Probably let her ripen a little longer, mostly because it's a busy week. Couple more days until sample time :weed:
