Newbie looking advice

I soaked my seeds in water for 24 hours and they hadn't cracked yet but yesterday I went ahead and put in jiffy seedling soil in a solo cup, planted 1/4 inch or so deep and gave it a good misting. I've got a 50 watt fluorescent shop light over it as I don't want my hps on it yet. They have been in soil now for almost 30 hours now. Not seeing anything yet but just wondering if there is anything else I need to be doing?

You don't need any light on them if they haven't sprouted yet.
