noob+nutes=help

Hey guys I am about to start my first grow and need help with nutes. I have 2 out of my 10 white widow seeds germinating (thanks Nirvana-shop) and peed pots ready for them. I understand lightings, humidity, room stabability, flowering and all that. I just need help with nutes. I want to work with rockwool so that I dont have to water several times daily and i want the faster results of hydroponics. I will be ording my 600hps once I get an idea of what nutes I need so i can order them at the same time. I will be hand watering them until i setup my flood and drain system. I also would like some info on nutes for soil as I will be growing one that way for comparison.

also what size rockwool cubes should i get for say a three to four foot plant at complete flower?

what do you mean, unforgiving? when you add the nutrients to the water?

I never grew hydro, but I think by unforgiving it means that it is much easier to burn your plants w/ the nutes w/ hydro.
I like foxfarm cuz of it being organic. I would say start real small, 1/8th strength to 1/4 strength, with whatever you choose.

You only need Big Bloom and Grow Big from Fox Farm for the first 3 weeks.

They have a bevy of other things to buy...

What is required and what is not?
Do you need all 7 Fox Farm products listed on the feeding schedule for a complete nutrient setup? or is some of it fluff?

For hydro, General Hydroponics has a 1-part called FloraNova, or a 3-part Flora Series. For 3 foot plants, put the small rooting blocks into a 6 inch cube.

Thanks guys, whats a good (cheap) hydro store online? All i have in a 30 mile radius is Lowes and Wal-mart so finding stuff is becoming a bit complicated. I asked them at lowes if they had rockwool and I got this look . Neadless to say they dont sell it, hell they never even heard of it. I plan in buying my lights from htgs so if i cant find any other place to get my nutes i will order them at the same time.

I need to find the BEST nutrients OUT THERE FOR Producing MAximum Yeild and MAXIMUM RESIN(thc) can enyone help me out on the best product to buy thanks

my first time hydro growing and i did maybe a lil bit less than what it says and i still gave my babies nute burn....slightly....i guess the trick is under-do it rather than over-do?

also i have a question...
foxfarm says that you only add nutes to hydro 1 time a week.
it also says the same for soil... now i know my buddy waters his soil plants more than once a week....

am i suppsoed to be adding more nutes than just the once a week it says?
also i have no ppm or EC meters nore do i know what they are

i have weird particles building up in my res...i think it might be dust and simular stuff ;x

just lisen to you're plant, if you see its leafs turning yellow... flush it with just pure water.. then contiue use in a day or so.

once a week use?

i have questions on the fox farm feeding sched too...

Does this sound right?
Not sure if you add the 2nd weeks nutes straight to the existing used nute bath or if you mix it with water and just top off.... think i have it right below, but would like to know for sure...

For a DWC setup...

starting with empty reservoir
mix your nutes in water and fill reservoir- this is first feeding
then 1 week later - you add additional nutes straight to the reservoir and top off with fresh water???

next week is a reservoir change -
after its empty reset with fresh nutes
Then 1 week later- add nutes straight to reservoir and top off with fresh water

rinse/repeat....

FYI - i plan on using 1/3 strength of recommended nutes first 2 weeks, then 1/2 strength until harvest.... reminder that I will be using DWC.
