Do I have to buy a whole new carbon scrubber or is there a way to keep the one I have a replace the carbon and stuff?? If so how do i do it I can't find any info on Google about it maybe I'm not asking the right questions idk!

Its the best way to make sure. ...

There are some diy options but if you NEED to be stealthy ......

Look at a phresh filter they last quite a while :)

Dam that sucks!
It is possible but carbon costs good money then you have to pack it to a certain grade and density on a vibrating table plus they aint easy to get into and after all that there is no guarantee you have a perfect product that will match your fan cfm or keep smells at bay.

Mainly buy a new one but i guess some might have achieved a refil. Use to be companies would offer refils but i aint seen that for a long time.

I keep repeating this info and no one says much different but still worth a google, maybe rhino or some of the more exspensive filter companies can help or guide you through the process. Think its 3-4mm grade activated carbon you need.....

Ah fuck it by this stage most have paid for a new one. Certainly worth downsizing if possible to save a few bucks come filter replacement but ive never quibbled as they last for a few grows.

Never needed them on smaller grows as smoking weed normally masks the smell but as a grower there is certainly a distinct difference between the smell of smoked weed and fresh plant bud. :-)

Thanks buddy i think I'll just buy a new smaller one for my space but I'm also gunna start only using it 12 hr a day when the lights are on! I was under the impression that I could maybe change it out easily for under 50 bucks lol! Live and learn ya know! But I think Ill buy a new one in a few months and go one size down bc the one I have works a Lil too well for my 5x5 tent!

As long as it suits the fan rating you should be fine, el cheapo ones are good but pricey ones should last longer.

Good luck :-)

Ifnyou go smaller, wont it run out even quicker?

Besides humidity playing a part in the life of the filter.

The first filter I had was a DIY. It worked but was a hassle to make, was messy, and by the time I purchased everything it was about as much as buying a new one. Plus I could never get the carbon packed as tight as the manufactured ones. The prices have come down so much in recent years that it's just easier to buy a new one. If you want to disassemble your old one and refill it with fresh carbon it can be done but it is not worth the few dollars you might end up saving. Just my two cents.
