Noob's guide to gettin down with Auto's

Same setup. No nutes yet only about the second week in. Watering once a day. Maybe every other depending on the cocco. Light is on 24 hrs.. Maybe going to a 18 hr cycle would help?

i water daily in small amounts
when the plant has laid some roots down and started vertical growth
you're going to have to water more often with the mix you have going after they get larger and more demanding
there is no need for any additives im not saying you cant use it
but the seedling has stored energy that will carry it for couple weeks from germ
so there is really no need for it
in my own growing, i do not feed my plants with nutes until they are a few weeks in vegging since i'm growing them in a nutrient-rich soil. i think the nutrients in the soil are enough to support their growth during the seedling stage

Hey guys, glad I found this thread. My seedlings are 1 week old and looking good. I have a hydro setup using Autopots with 2 inches of Growstones at the bottom and a mix of about 2:1:1 Coco/Perlite/Growstones. These are in 4 gallon pots.

I started out watering with the spray bottle til they popped up out of the soil and for the first week. After the 1st week I started top watering until there was run off but reading the thread I need to cut back. So my questions are:

1. Week 2, how much should I be watering top down? 32oz still?
2. How long would the root mass be at 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks and so on?
3. I need to turn the Autopots on at week 2 and I was given previous advise to feed 1/8th the amount of nutes. Should I go with 1/4th the amount of nutes instead?

Anyone else grown autoflowers in hydro autopots before?
