sorry so slow with the updates the holidays were very busy. so we have about a couple more weeks until i plan to harvest. hopefully i'll get lots of viable seeds. the clones aren't doing to badly lots of the clones ended up being male, but there are a few that ended up being female. i left them in the cloner because they still seem too small. lucky me the male ones ended up being larger than the female clones when i removed some from the cloner and shifted them around. my camera skills have improved a little bit.

whooo its been a long time since i updated i got lots of pictures. anyway the grow and the harvest went well. Some things to mention, grand daddy purp really wasnt as indica dominant as i thought it would be, and definatly wasnt as purple as i thought it would be. after 75 days or so with steady temps of no higher than 68 degrees F, all the fan leaves did not turn purple and only the top buds got dark purple. the strain is easy to grow though and easy to clone for the most part. the clones are coming along nicely i think after these clones are done we'll be doing a different purple strain and i'll give my thoughts on it. after this last run of GDP, i'll be buying something called ultimate purple from TGA genetics. anyway here are some pictures.

I do a lot of pollen chucking too but collect the pollen away from the girls and dust some buds on the lower branches so the main crop isn't full of seeds and my yields aren't impacted.

Beware of exploding joints or bowls! :D

your right it is ALOT of seeds, but i'll have an almost unlimited supply to look for a nice pheno in the future. no exploding bowls for me aha, i've crushed all the flowers and ran everything through a screen to separate all the nice mature seeds. i've jarred the rest to be turned into hash at a later date. i will post about my hash making experience in the future. anyway here is another update all the clones are now into 5gal buckets there all about 16" tall now with lots of side branching filling in very nicely. i've flipped the lights as well. im also getting somewhat better camera skills as i go :joint:

starting a new grow, similar to befor. there are some gdp feminized seeds in the bunch and some other random bag seeds. currently there are 18 small seedlings that i just topped im going to pick 9 eventually and run 9 in 5 gallon pots. i will take some clones later and put them in the aeroponic cloner. here is a photo. 1.JPG

Nice pheno man. I’m running Ken’s GDP. I have a completely green pheno out of 3 seeds. So you crossed a male and females from the same pack? How many did you pop out off your seeds that purpled?

i only did one run with the seeds i had 9 under a 600, i wouldnt say all turned purple but the majority did, i believe its temperature dependent it was much colder the second run. i think as long as you have cold temps at night when the lights are off you should get those dark purple buds thats what i believe i've observed over time.

picked the 9 i want to run with, were looking at 5 gdp, and some other random strains we'll see if theres anything interesting try to take clones of all of them depending on how things go. Also picked up some other strains tga genetics deep purple some mbackcross (Querkle x purple urkle) , cali connection blackwater (og kush x mendo purps) , and some freebie the joker (chemdawg x JTR). Made some canna butter as well going to make some cookies should be fun. 1.JPG 2.JPG 3.JPG

put some clones for my next run today in the cloning machine and the plants are looking good in the room likely going to flip them soon. also im not an expert but i always thought grand daddy purp was mendo purps x big bud, but i dont believe that anymore every now and then i come across a pheno type that looks like that old school strain ducks foot. it grows similar to ducks foot as well. looks like not a marijuana plant for the majority of its life. anyway here as some pictures. :joint:

well unfortunately for me almost all of the 9 i kept ended up being male :-(, so had to scrap them. i ended up only getting one gdp that was female so i made the only move i could i decided to turn the one gdp into a mother to cut clones. i chopped the whole plant into clones and tossed them inside the cloner. oh well cant win them all.

oh yes i have thousands of seeds, there very uniform aside from the odd trifoliate you will encounter i'd say 1/25 are trifoliate i probably popped a hundred or so to date since i polinated that room a while back i store all my seeds in a container in the fridge with a large silica packet that way the odds of germinating years later are significantly improved rather than just leaving them out. yes thats exactly what i plan to do im going to run those clones sog style and keep the original as a mother. the clones are coming along not to badly put me back a couple months unfortunatly for me. as with every update here are some photos.

im still alive its been a while since the tragedy of all those males, my clones from the gdp are doing well. i dont have clones anymore in the aero cloner i got 9 nice large ones in the flower room, and 12 tiny ones for the next run next to a mother. mother is looking a little unhappy since i clipped it back and forgot to water it oops oh well im sure it will bounce back. here are some photos
