Maaaate, what a canopy! And thick stem-age! I haven't stopped by here in a while... things have come along nicely!
Is pruning on the cards or are you gona go all natural? Maybe supercrop the tallest branch?
Also it's rare to see a hydro guy using tea's, go on!
Thanks man,
Yea, I'll be supercropping and strapping a few of the tall ones to the inside of the dome.
I use the tea in hydro to help prevent the brown slime buildup, which my res temps pretty much have that under control, but the REAL gain for me is the symbiotic relationship between the microbes in the tea ant the root system.
The plants LOVE it !

Nice, sounds about right. Really selective pruning might have to go down as well..

I've experienced that brown slime in hydro, tried to combat it in the polar opposite way, hydrogen peroxide, didn't work, go figure! Should've used nature.... the plants DO love tea, every time i feed em some, all the leaves on all the plants perk up, hard to miss

OH... !
Check out the old plant I cancelled earlier this year and stuck it in the dirt.
It has flowered just from leaving it outside as there was less light than dark.
But as the days have been getting longer, I just put it indoors at a certain time every night and back out in the morning.
Got some decent nugs on here, probably will yield around a Lid dried !
Oh, and the SMELL of this little Bonsai tree is crazy !
It was a GoldLeaf*** plant.

Do you have anymore height in the fridge for the light? I thought you had it at the top already but wasn't sure.. If not you need to put the brakes on those ladies!

Monday update:
Well I believe that the stretch is over.
I might see a little more but it has been 3 weeks.
I think we are in the fattening stage now.
Plants are within a safe range of the lamp but let me tell ya... not a BIT of light is wasted in this configuration.
REALLY nuggin up now !!!

Oh, BTW the stretch HAS stopped !:P
Tops are around 6 - 8 inches from the lamp, but the air circulation in and around the top of the reflector keeps things OK.
All the top fan leaves are still outstretched and seemingly reaching for the light.
Now when you open the fridge door, it is not as blindingly bright with pretty much all the tops up in there now.
There is literally almost no light wasted.
I did a final (probably) thinning of a few more choice fan leaves and have a pretty decent light penetration down through the canopy to all the nugs..... for as crowded as it is in there.
It really is scary just how close to perfection this run is going !
If everything goes smoothly for another month or so, I will see my BEST harvest ever.
Res change today !
I only see the tiniest bit of tip burn on some of the leaves so I think I have the soup dialed in pretty good as well.
Since I can no longer remove the plants to clean the root tub and rinse the roots, I tried GH FloraKleen last res change to flush the salts from the system and the roots.
Never tried it before but really did seem to work.
I will use it for the duration.

Thanks Tassie,
Yea, that Phillips 315W lamp is the SHIT !
And the reflector makes the most efficient use of it by concentrating all the light right on the canopy.
Yep... Hermaphrodite !
Those are little pollen sacs.
I will have seeds this run too.....
Oh well, as long as the smoke is as good as the last run, and... I actually think this run will be better.
The frost is starting to really pour on the plants like I have not had before... WAY more budsites than ever before... things are plumping up SO fast any more that you can notice a big difference in the buds every day.
Remember that I vegged with the gas lantern routine and I think that has had a positive affect on this grow.
And now, I am on the diminishing light schedule that resembles autumn with a half hour less light every 2 weeks... which reminds me, I have to go adjust the timer to 30 mins lees light today !

Check this vid... There are probably better ones on YT but the song is cute on this.....

Good to hear the stretch stop! Your grow has persuaded me into get a new 315watt Lec from sunsystem! I got the remote system that has a external ballast and it also runs on 220volt. That thing is bright as hell and puts my 400hps to shame!

Oh... you are gonna LOVE the results !!!

I did a near final defoliation yesterday.
I had been working my way up from the bottom removing any fans that weren't in the light and producing anything, then fans that were shading the under-nugs.
Yesterday I took off all large fan leaves except the top 2 nodes.
You can see them up top still reaching upwards toward the light.
BUT, you can also see that there is MUCH more light coming down thru the canopy now and landing on all those sugar leaves.
MOST of all that is above the screen frame will be SOLID NUG !
Some of the nugs will be over 14" !!! :weed:

OUCH ! A disastrous event with the Hermes, as I recall your last attempt ended up the same?

What do you think the problem is... Genetics or Environment ?

Dang if I know...
The 2 AK-47 are from seeds form my hermied plant, but the Jack Herer seed came from the Netherlands.....
Must be environmental...?
But not disastrous...
Got 5.5 ounces of darn good dank and I get 3 - 4 seeds per nug on average, but still TOP SHELF smoke.
This run should dwarf the others in quantity AND quality, albeit with a few seeds.

The seed weight takes up a lot of very important productive space in a Micro Grow, and I can't recall when a "Cannabis Cup" winner had seeds?

Like you mentioned "Dang if I know"

Perhaps consider trashing the Hermied seeds you planted to avoid future disastrous problems, and like you mentioned.
"It must be Environmental".... maybe it's time to reconsider and take the upside down fridge to the dump and get a new plan...??
