Nutrient burn on a few leaves three weeks from harvest

Hi guys,

I'm about three weeks from harvest of a four plant NL scrog, and I've just noticed half a dozen leaves on one of my four NL's has a bit of burn. I grow organically and wonder if the addition of 1-10-1 guano a few weeks ago may have been too hot. All other growth is fine and healthy.

Should I cut future feeds (Mother Earth super tea bloom) by half, or do a full canna flush then resume? Just so close to end.

any thoughts would be really appreciated !!

Peace out.

Spread the feeding out. If you water, feed, water. Water twice or three times before you feed it again. Stretch it out to feeding it every 7-10 days. Give it more time to use what's already in the pot before giving it more. Add any fertilizer mix to moist soil. Don't give it when the soil is dry. The plant will absorb it faster if the soil is dry and the plant needs water. Moist soil slows the intake down. The plant isn't as thirsty.

Decrease the dosage also. By 1/2-1/3rd. Cannabis doesn't need much and it's easy to burn.

Cheers SouthCross, that's gold !

I watered them with 9 litres yesterday (though I included 15ml seaweed meal, 15ml molasses, and 2.5ml biyosis) in an aerated 24hr tea.

Will repeat with water till things settle down. Didn't really want to do a full flush at this stage, but I've hopefully caught them in time.

There's no such thing as flushing. You're basically growing in a primitive water filter. Add a layer of sand and charcoal and the run off would be clean enough to drink. Most fertilizer is filtered to the top few inches of soil. Repeated watering seeps it down. One attribute of cannabis is that it'll clean the soil of pollutants. Especially fertilizer. That's why is easily burnt.

The only way to clear the soil of fertilizer is to let the plant absorb it. Otherwise, it's not going anywhere.

Guano is pretty much always hot no matter what, I stopped using it years ago for that exact reason. If you're looking to give your girls a boost in flower, I recommend Fish Hydrolysate. King Neptune makes a great product, I'm using it currently with great results. Total life saver for me considering that some of my strains are heavier feeders than others, not to mention the CO2. I didn't amend my soil to account for those factors, so the fish hydrolysate has been quite helpful in filling in the blanks for me.

Cheers pal. It's just too risky if the calibrations are out. Been thinking of using fish hydrolysate, but does it smell? Or is it fairly subtle?

Peace out.
