As the title suggests, I'm looking for others opinions on the ability of one nutrient line / type to the next to influence the flavor of the finished crop.
This question applies to both cannabis and edible crops such as lettuce.

Let's get down to the nitty gritty on DWC Nutes

Yes more so leaving a nutrient rich plant when you harvest will taste and smell like cardboard.

Under normal circumstances the plant is the one with the flavor not the nutrients

I think we have all tasted bland nasty weed , thats the nutes

Damn those left over nutes .. they have ruined plenty a harvest

Stay vigilant and flush well , like two weeks minimum well is my suggestion.

That's sort of a hard question to answer, do I belive elements in a nutrient formula help to improve the potential flavor that is already genetically imparted in the plants. Yes!

Let's talk about "Elements" above and beyond the standard 12-14 inputs in all fertilizers suitable for hydroponics.

Things such as humics / fulvics, Kelp, Amino Acids - how does each effect the plants potential for flavor expression?
Will adding just amino acids on top of a base change the flavor profile?

I see where you are going with this and it would like to know myself.

We don't really know what the botanist add to our nutrients , they say amino acids on the label but that's a pretty broad piece of information.

I really think the only way to find out is by testing one additive at a time to a well fed plant and see what effect it has.

Lets hope someone chimes in with good tips , It would be nice to find the key to that lock.

Could be a heavy duty dose of sulfur three weeks or so before harvest might have good effect on flavor , I want to try it , its been on my mind.

They add sulfur to most PK boosters
