Nutrient Line-up Thoughts Opinions??

I am goin to purchase fresh nute line up and wanted some input. I cannot make up my mine between using The Fox Farm Trio ( Grow Big Hydro, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom) along with Cannazym to help protect from root rot in my DWC. I was also thinkin about adding Rhizotonic i have heard good thinks. But back to the point the other line up i have been toying with is the Botanicare lineup. Pure blend Grow and Bloom, Liquid Karma, Cal - mag ( do i need cal mag if i am using well water i probly have plenty of calcium and mg in my water ??) and also cannazym. Experiences with these in a DWC?? Any problems things you would change?? Thanks guys - tok'on

Avoid organic nutes like FF in hydro unless you don't mind slimy gunky water and equally nasty roots. I've tried FF in my DWC and it was just a mess. Find a good chemical nute and you'll be much happier.

I'm using botanicare but in soil. I use the pro bloom soil and cal mag. I use ro water so it is recomended for me. Be careful with well water. I buy ro water because I'm on well water. The hard water can screw things up. I know botanicare does make a hydro version but I was warned at the shop that it can clog things up. If you have your water going through a water softner then don't even bother using it. I would say before you start get the water ppm checked to see if it is to hard. If you have over 300 ppm to start just go out and buy ro water. It's not to bad if you buy the big jugs at the grocery stores. If you go that way then you'd need cal mag. If you do not use a water softner and your well water isn't that bad, then I would say don't get the cal mag. Like you say it probably has lots of calcium and magnesium and the lineup is a one part all you need formula. The addatives are all extra but not required.

fox farm rapes all. (in soil :D)

I've heard a lot of amazing stuff about fox farm. I just can't get it in my area very easily. Botanicare seemed to be the favorite at the shop i go to. Advanced nutes are stupid expensie. I think they also carry the general hydroponics - flora nova series. So went with the botanicare. Figured it was a good way to start growing organic. I can't wait to taste the difference in the organic and cemical grow. The dnf synthetics have given great results that after cure tates great so I'm really excited.

I've used IONIC a few times in the past. Seemed to work great. I'm getting ready to start up again now that I have my card and I will probably use IONIC again. Any thoughts???

im using that botanicare lineup in my dwc right now. only difference is im using nirvana (advanced nutrients) instead of liquid karma. my LA confidential loves the shit. its not messy like FF either, and its made from organic ingredients as well.

I am using ionic and had problems in hydro mostly because of my shitty water. i have an ro now and all is good. it has been great on the plant i have in dirt and i will stay with ionic for awhile and dial it in.

Idk its really up to you I sreongly recomend ff nutes yea the can be a lil messy in dwc or in a res after awhile but I use it in my ebb and flow res as well as my dwc and my results are really great I just pulled a lil over 300 gs in 2x4 tray usin ff grow big big bloom tiger bloom n cha ching I also used some gravity n some purple maxx I jus got open seasmae n beastie bloomz too gonna run that next time stuffs not really gunky I just change my airstone after each grow no biggies but results speak volumes 300 grams of high quality herb and lots of new stoner friends who agree lol check my journal if ud like in the future I am gonna try a more concentrate nute like gh nove series n see if my results are better in regards to taste quality n yeild

i have purchased the ff and have been useing then for a while, they arent as messy as i was expecting from what people were saying on here. i know that there is alot of residue if from the straight fert but mixed in the water it isnt that bad. and i havent had any kind of rot or ph imbalance. Just using well water and the trio and lovin it. will take some pics soon to add to my grow journal i havnt updated since scoring the new nutes, tok'on:bigjoint:
