Hi all! My NL plant is 5 weeks into flowering and just now showing signs of a nutrient deficiency. I am growing my baby in miracle grow soil and I was hoping that I would luck out and not have to add any nutes at all, but I think my luck has run out. The stems have purple veins running through them and other stems have turned completely purple. Also the lower leaves are starting to turn yellow giving the sign of low nitrogen levels. I have miracle grow 15-30-15 and I need to know how much to use per litre of water. Will my plant die if I don't add any nutes? The buds are looking sooo good with about 30% of the hairs already turning amber and I just don't want to mess this up. I would greatly appreciate advice from a veteran out there. Thanks guys and gals very much.

How big is it and how large is the pot, if soil?
I am NOT a veteran but you are going to have to feed your plant. That fertilizer would be better than nothing and was recommended to me by a veteran. The dose I was advised to use was 1 teaspoon first feeding then 2 teaspoons a gallon every other time I water. Even if I used more than a gallon of water I wouldn't use more than 2 tsp. It's a lot of nitrogen for a flowering plant but yours could probably use a little right now. If it were me I would switch after a few uses to something lower nitrogen. I was advised to use fertilome root stimulator during flowering which is easy to get and 4-10-3. I'm not sure that's the ideal mix and doesn't have a lot of potassium but probably enough for your last few weeks(4-10-10 would be better). If you use those you will have to flush towards the end and probably want to use molasses water the last couple weeks for flush and flavor and to use the plant's stored nutrients. I'm not saying those are the best choices, just that someone I know with a lot of experience gets good results that way.

Thanks virgin I appreciate your reply and will definitely feed her tonight when the lights go back on. I wish I could out and buy some different nutes but the fact is that I am a broke college student and I had to steal the nutes I have from my girlfriends parents. Steve and Trish I'm so sorry but it was just there... So my plant is about two and a half feet tall and the container is probably a little bit small about 12 inches wide and 12 inches deep. Next time I will splurge on a bigger pot and better nutes but the process is about over and I just want some free weed to smoke for a change.

It was hardly stealing, they will probably never even know it's gone. Stealing was the wrong word to use. You see, I stole their daughter's virginity, and I just happened to walk off with their miracle grow. Just messin with you daddy, I understand your logic and appreciate your comment.
