Hey, been a while since I posted last, I hope everyone is good, it's been a wild 4yrs.
I've been using Cyco nutes for years but I have an issue I've not seen before.
Basically I am having to add around 5ltrs water to nutes of 2ltr mix ratio to get EC down to 1.4-1.6ec
Thinking it was my bluelab ec truncheon was getting on a bit, I bought a replacement, only to have get the same readings.
The only thing that's I can see has changed is my tap water used to be 0.4ec, now it's 0.9.
Is this likely the cause?
Plants are looking good, no yellowing etc.

Your tap water will shift ph a bit depending on the time of year at least mine does a little especially in autumn it could be that or potentially any chance they changed there formula slightly?

Not sure on that one, PH not changed at all, just the PPM from tap water.
Thanks for reaching out I'll keep an eye see how they fair.

Kind of a no brainer man...
If your tap was 0.4 and now it's 0.9 so sure it will spike the same ec solution you had before
If your starting point is 0.4 and your solution is based on that, A, lower the ec of your solution beforehand by adding less nutes to it, or B, acquire or make pre solution water to 0.4 like before.
Each one will do the trick, but the 2nd option is better as you will save the 0.5 ec difference to nutes instead of unknown salts in the water.
