Nutrient Resivoir Question

I had an idea the other day when i was watering my plants, i want to get two 18gal rubbermaid tubs w/ lids, fille them with water, adjust the ph, and mix in my nutrients, then get a large air pump and two large air stones. I would cut a hole in the lid to each container and run black air tubing through that, then situate the air stones at the bottom of the tubs, then hook those up to the pump via an air divider to aerate both tubs and keep the solution good and mixed. in one tub i would have veg solution and in the other i would have flowering. this way i could have enough to water for two weeks and not have to waste time mixing nutes everytime i have to water. i could just dip the gallon jug down into the tub and have enough to water with, then i could change the solution every two weeks or as needed. my question is will that work? or should i just stick to mixing up nutes every time i water?

if your using soil, it's not worth the time to mix all that up and shit, just do it each time you water, it's a pain in the ass to change the water in resivoir, having to wipe down the whole thing to get old nutes out.

i dont see how it would be harder than cleaning my 5 gal bucket i use to mix nutes in now, and i wouldnt have to mix seperate veg and flower nutes because they would have seperate containers, i could manage the ph better, and it might be more work at a time, but it would only need to be done 1/3 of the time. but then again, it could just be a bad idea, i dont have a tds/ec meter so i would be afraid my levels would vary from one watering to the next

im going to try the pro-mix on my next grow, that is considered soiless gardening, no nutes in the mix, no soil in it. so my waterings will be more frequent than now with my happyfrog and vermiculite, i just dont want alot of hassle.

because the nutes are sitting in there they have the chance to harden or whatever on the bucket. i don't use a tds/ec meter and I use a drip system, not soil, so you could still do it if you want. I was just saying I hate having to clean my res's. and if you don't need to then why do it? it's much easier to rinse out the bucket every time you water than have to scrub the res every couple weeks. just my opinion, take it or leave it.
