Obamacare Protestors from the left... can't blame them.

I'm confused. The guy was telling them to stand up and chant "Health care now"... so aren't they rallying FOR health care reform, and not against it?

HCAN is an organization that's lobbying for universal health care.

I just don't see how these are "obama protesters from the left".

He is saying that they are protesters, and I think that they are bad?

Not too sure.

But still I think that this sucks. Typical America, you cannot talk things out and explain it so you just start a shouting match, this way the loudest side wins. I really wish that we could just talk about the facts of healthcare and get something done about it.

There was a small shift though. You start to now see republicans (politicians) coming out and saying that something needs to be done, just not this. Which is great, but where were they a few months back?

how many people on this forum actually think 3 things
the government can cut waste and fraud to save money?
that adding 50 million people to free health care will make it cheaper?
that the government can actually do anything cheap?.....post office loses 5 billion a year and they raise stamps every year

I do. But it is hard when most them want to scam one way or another.

Those 50 million people are already using the system, this would just be more preventative care and that is much cheaper in the long run. Since it will help stop the bankruptcies which causes a lot of money to be bled from us taxpayers, not to mention higher overall costs with care due to people not paying medical bills.

And I did some quick math a couple months back. The post office works at FAR less money per person and does far more than the other delivery companies. If they operated at the same costs as Fed Ex the stamps would cost 56 cents and would net them a 36% profit. They run at a deficit, but they still operate far cheaper than the others.

The mistake being made here, and in the Media, is that the protesters at the Town Hall meetings are not solely protesting "health care." They are protesting the over-reaching, over-regulating, over-taxing and overly intrusive nature of the federal government, especially as being run by Obama and the Democrat Left. The Left keeps saying that the protestors are Republicans, when the truth is, the protestors are made up of totally disgusted and disenfranchised Independents, Libertarians, Republicans and even moderate Democrats.

Beware Progressives, The Sleeping Giant has awakened! :blsmoke:

Let this be a lesson to any party that comes into power. There will always be independents, party members of the opposite party, and a few members of your own party that get swayed by the news and media that brings them against you.

Same crap different president. Give it another 8 years and this will all be gone over again.

Even if it is all complete garbage.

In the 80's we had a slogan, and that was to "throw the bums out", and we were referring to the power hungry criminals who continue to control washington, from both sides of the Isle. Did anyone really expect them to vote themselves term limits, or pass campaign finance reform? Would any mob family - in it's right mind - do this; give up power?

Take your GD country back before it's too late!

Throw the bums out!

Revolution doesn't have to be bloody.

Bush was no better than Clinton was no better than Bush Jr... is no better than the Chicago politician you put in this time.

Yes lets take it back, but by voting for better people. Lets not just vote for lawyers, lets get some better educated people in there.

We are the ones keeping them in power. And it can only be changed by voting.
