Noting BX#1 has begun to droop(needing water) after only about 2 and a half days from the last watering. Caught me off guard. Heavy drinker.

Quick update:

I lost 2 alien rift, 2 malibu pie and 1 bubblisious cross(never broke soil).

Other than that everything looks good. The 315's are on their way. Philips 3100k bulbs inside of sun system reflectors.

I'm also getting some organicare organic nutrients and switching to that until I get the hang of things a little better. For me adding the right amount of all these liquid ferts and having to worry about salt build up is a little too tricky, atleast until I get more expeirenced.

Temps been hanging around 81f for highs and about 73f for lows.

Humidity is starting to get dialed in for the current stage, around 55% for low and 65% for high.

Pretty good air movement going on too, 430 cfm inline intake being used at the moment, 12" ocsillating fan, humidifier, and 8000 btu portable a/c.
I have a 750ish can 8 inch inline that I haven't begun to use yet.

Currently using the 630w de light and one blurple on some seedlings that were starting to lean in a bit.

For the Alien rift, #3 growth is furthest along. For malibu pie so far number 1,2, and 3 are pretty similar as the furthest along.

My BX#1 (bigger plant) for some reason for about the past week, come the end of the 18 hour light period is pretty droopy and lasts until several hours back into the light period but then perks back up again and then 10 hours later is back to being droopy before the lights go off. I have no idea what's causing this. Have had the light as close as about 25 inches which seemed to make things worse and as far as about 33 inches which is where it's currently at.

So yeah that's the scoop.

Sorry it's been a while since the last update. Been busy plus their hasn't been much happening since they're still young.

Don't know if I already said it but I ended up with 10 Alien rifts, 11 Malibu pies and 5 BX's (not including the one older BX plant)

It's roughly day 20 for my 26 young plants and right around 7 weeks for BX#1.

BX#1 spent a couple weeks not doing much of any growing, I changed every variable you could imagine with it always remaining droopy. I ended up transplanting it from a 3 gallon pot to 7 gallons, the roots were plentiful and healthy, not what I would consider rootbound but ever since transplanting it started growing again.
So needless to say she looks a little rough but she's on her way back.
Also, I separated her into her own tent a couple weeks ago when she was acting funny because of the possibility of pests.
I was suspecting broad mites, have been scoping a few times a week and found some thrips today. I happened to have started spraying her with neem oil yesterday though so it will work out, they should be gone within a couple weeks.

Yesterday I fired up all 3 lights for the first time and am running that now. Temp on my meters says it's getting up to 84 but the alien rift is showing some heat stress, malibu pie and BX are seeming fine with temps though.
I'm sure it can't be the light because my lights for the most part have been 3 plus feet away from the plants. Today i just dropped them to 28 inches, I have my a/c on high to try keeping temps down.
Looks like as long as it remains in the 70s and 80s outside I'll have to run that on high with temps peaking around 82 to 84.
I'm guessing once winter hits I won't need an a/c period. If anything I'll need a heater.
I've been trying to keep rh around 60%. It fluctuates between 55 and 65 percent.
It has taken 2 evaporative humidifiers (combined advertisement of 4200 sq ft) and 2 cool mist humidifiers to be able to control my humidity, 9.5x9 room. Was a bit of a pain getting that dialed in.
-8,000 btu a/c
-70 pint dehumidifier
-6"inline intake
-8"inline exhaust

My #3 alien rift and #3 malibu pie are looking to be the ones to watch, nice structure, short branchy, hopefully they are girls.

Also all nutrients from here on out I've switched to Organicare, by Botanicare. Come flowering I will still supplement atleast rock solid by growth science(bloom booster) because I used it on my last grow(first indoor grow) and considering how rough it was for the plants I still ended with some really large and dense rock solid buds. I have a couple others, bud candy and overdrive, by advanced nutrients that I may use too. Will be in small amounts though, just want to supplement a bit.

I've also been thinking about adding my 600 hps for flowering too. Many claim the key to be using hps and cmh side by side. I'm thinking about running, from left to right;
-315cmh-de630cmh-600hps-315cmh-

I think that would offer quite the mixture, seeing how buds turn out directly under the 315vs315/630vs630/600vs600/315.

A bit of a lengthy update but that's the fill. They should be more frequent from here on out.

Edit: I'm trying to post more pics but for whatever reason, after that first they won't load. I'll try to get some more pics up tonight.

I'll be watching this to see how it turns out.

This alien rift #3 is a special one. Just watered it lastnight and lifted the pot just a bit ago and was already dry.
It's also the most vigorous and rapid growing of them all. Just topped it. It's also yellowing at the bottom leaf already too. Looks like I'll probably have to transplant it already, was wanting to wait until they showed sex before transplanting but that's okay, its a good problem to have.

Edit: Will work on posting more pics. It is not wanting to load anymore of the pics I'm trying to take.

And BX#1. Poor princess has been in quarantine for a few weeks. A mystery problem arose, it was fixed when she was transplanted from 3gal to 7gal a week ago. And then yesterday I found a few thrips on her. That's okay though, I started spaying with neem and will probably throw some spinosad into the mix too, all before flowering her.
But I will probably just keep her separate from the younger ones, I'm worried about an even canopy, she's just a bit bigger than the rest and I've already got her tied down. Maybe same room, but won't be apart of the 10x4 unless it has bare spots which I don't see happening.

Trying my hand at cloning. I got about 3 weeks to get it down before I take clones off everything and switch to flower.

I soaked the cubes in a quarter gallon of water with 1/4 ml of super thrive and dipped the cutting tips in rooting powder.
I also handled a couple a bit too rough I think. When I was trying to poke them into the cubes a couple didn't want to go very easy and thought I felt a slight pop in the stalk trying to push them in. Hoping to atleast get a couple to root, that'll be a start.

Anytime I have a stalk pop like that I junk that cutting and replace it. If you have a limited number of cuttings you can get and enough room for all of them you might as well run it and see what happens. I do know for sure that red light doesn't root clones very well. If you can I'd put them under one of your cmh's.

Bubblisious cross #5 looking tickled pink.
Every other plant in the room keeps getting some slight droop to them here and there. This bx#5 stays perky.

Note: I think a lot of the droopyness is thirsty plants. Some are drinking every other day and I know that alien rift #3 is needing water daily now. This will be the 3rd day in a row ive lifted the pot to it feeling nearly bone dry to completely bone dry while having watered it the evening before.

Yeah I figured the ones that popped most likely won't make it. And I have those two 80 watt cfl's right above the dome, 6400k I believe. Don't ya think that will drown out a lot of that red and give them the light they need?

Anyone that wants to chime in, do you think if I have plants like the alien rift #3 needing water daily, that it would be best to transplant it now or would it be fine to just keep watering it when it needs and wait to transplant for a couple more weeks like I was planning? Currently in a 1 gal. I have 2 and 3 gal pots, wanting to flower them in the 3 gallon.

I'm not sure. I know the that the chlorophyll that red light stimulates, B I think, is the associated with flowering and that blue is responsible for the process behind vegetative and root growth.

If red were more or less equally present as blue like in a white light it might not be an issue. I'm not sure.

Well that was quick. Any pointers?
Was probably about a minute, maybe longer for each cutting between being cut and stuck in the cubes. Cuts were from secondary branching. The tray probably spent 15 minutes outside of the tent while being filled so some wernt under real light for a bit. Misted the cuttings and put the dome over top. 45 degree cuts, right below the node.
They look dead.

When I take my cuttings they go straight into a glass of water. Most of them will actually be big enough to get 3-4 cuttings from. Before I even do that I'll have the cloning trays ready and at temp. When I actually cut and dip the cuttings there's only a few seconds time between them coming out of the water and being dipped. Also, I prefer gel to powder because it helps deal the cut and doesn't dry it out like the powder.

All of that helps a lot with keeping up the turgor of the cutting (internal osmotic pressure) but sometimes they'll just wilt anyway. They should be back to normal in a few hours. As long as they are it really shouldn't be an issue.
