Odd smell during cure

Hello, I am in the process of curing my first grow. The strain is jack herer. I trimmed my buds and put them on a drying rack, room temp and humidity 70degrees and 55-60%hum for 6 days. The stems snapped, so I put them in jars, inside jar hum was 56%. There is a really odd smell and the buds are really sticky. They are covered in tricomes, not sure if I ruined them.
Any advise?

No, it is a odd sweat smell, hard to discribe. After being in the jars the stems no longer snap either. I don't think I see mold, the smell is what had me thinking. Could a small amount of mold, that really can't be seen easily have such a strong odor? meaning would it take a clearly visible amount of mold to have that strong a smell?

Pungent, sweet, Kind of a fuel smell. As soon as you open the jars it hits your nose. That's normal. It'll give off a somewhat funky smell until later in the cure. The smell will get less and less until it reaches a level.

Yes, that sounds about right.

Jarred a little late if your 55% jar rh is accurate. JH should smell very sweet, not funky. Mold smells horrible, yes, just a little bit will smell bad. Hopefully your rh reading is bad and they will improve.

Just wanted to give an update. The JH's smell improved as curing continued and turned out to some of the best I've had so far. Next I will be trying autos.
Thanx for the input.
