it is an air purification technology developed on the space station to help plants grow. It originall was designed to convert ethylene gas to carbon dioxide for the plants. Since I think it was the plants making the ethylene gas which in large ammounts is toxic to the plants and the crew. Something along those lines. It just happened to kill bacteria mold and viruses too so now it is sold as an air purifyer. It also breaks down VOC's , even formaldehyde.

Sweet mate..

I had to replace the hot water heater here a few weeks back and kept the old one.The plan is to quietly hook it up to the back of the cabinet and put my extractor in there with the muffin fan set up, some foam to quiet the vibration and some pet store charcoal filters on the way out.
A bit of camoflauge..

I'd never seen inside one before. I never want to see inside of one again.

Still tho, would have provided excellent camoflauge. Maybe an old TV or something - would certainly look much more innocent lying in the back of the laundry room than a carbon filter or muffin fan contraption that's been ducted to a large cabinet.
