Okay mates, here you go. Put those collective skulls together and throw some ideas at me.

How can one water a heavily lst'ed plants, such as these, easily and quickly?

Watering can is out of the question, maybe something rigged up with some tubing?

Please RIU, you're my only hope...

why is the watering can out of the question? Is it that dense that one with a long/pointy spout cant water? My only other idea is that you can carefully clear some small areas and stick a maybe some 1" pvc tube a few inches into the soil and just pour water through that whenever you need to water. Just be sure not to go too deep and damage roots. But other than that, great looking plants and nice job lsting! I'm about to start to train my white widows and hope they turn out as dense and short as yours

thanks shapeless! good luck on your WW. Id like to see how they turn out.

Dome, I could pull branches apart but thats not ideal really, id risk splashing nutes on the leaves and i woulnt end up watering evenly at all.

Im thinking about an inch of hydroton grow rocks on the top, shove in watering can and empty it. hopefully the rocks will be able to spread it all out.

Pour water into the tray that the plants are sitting in. The plants will suck the water up through the bottom of the pots and it will work great. I water this way when I have thick undergrowth that covers the soil line. Good luck

i actually have my plants lst'd with hydroton now. the grow rocks are working pretty good for me. it keeps the soil moist for longer and you dont have to cultivate the soil ever.

It won't be standing for long at all if you are watering your plants when they are thirsty. If you put some water in the tray it will all be gone in 20 minutes max

I have the answer to your prayers.

Got an old arrowhead water bottle, will cost you a buck fifty. Cut a whole in the cap and insert a half inch fitting attached to 3 feet of half inch inner diameter tubing. Using a little sealant and bam!

I made mine to get to plants in the back of my scrogged garden. Just stick the tube in the pot and turn the bottle over, easy as pie.

Using a hose or pump hosing just form it into a circle the correct length by making it a circle then glewing one end to part of the other tube and then have the open unglued end coming out from pot. Then just cut slights in it and water through the hose end thats open, water will go in and seep through the slits you cut.

why don't you just go to walmart or somethin and buy a small oil funnel. you can get them in different shapes too. like the long skinny ones. simple solution IMO

i used a small length of PVC pipe with a 13mm corner adaptor at the bottom, and a funnel at the top
but im trying to do something slightly different : feed the bottom of self watering pots.

very cool mygirls. thats damn convenient.

im going to rig up something with some half inch tubing, like up above. anyone know what could work well to initiate the flow of water and at the same time stop it on my command. like a plastic pinch or something? im thinking the same setup as a camelback minus the need for suction.

i have it on a thumb switch and a shut of valve and the watering end so i can stop the flow anytime.is that what your asking.

im looking for a more "analog" approach. something that can control the on and off flow with just a squeeze.
