Oil rig help!

i have a small perk tech oil rig. I need to buy a new nail and dome. I measured the section of the piece where the dome would slide down onto and it measures 12mm...with that being known, could someone tell me what size nail I would need or can that not be figured by knowing the outside diameter? The reason I ask is because the caliper, or whatever theat tool is called is a little plastic one and won't give me an accurate measurement of the inside diameter! Thx....

Find something else that fits inside the dome pretty well, take it out and measure it's outside diameter. Something tapered would be good.
