Good luck. My Big Devil is almost done. They'll do great in 5 gallons, definitely larger than I thought.

Picture one is at day ten, picture 2 is at 13 days. The last picture was a serious screwup yesterday. I lst'd the big Northern Lights so I decided to lst one of the big devil's. as I was bending it over it snapped off cleanly. Fortunately it broke above a couple of nodes, so now I have a topped auto. I'll bet it goes crazy!

Day 18 and all is well. I now have two Big Devis that are topped as the 2nd attempt at lst resulted in a snapped top. I also un-lst'd the White Dwarf and the Onyx. the 4 smallest plants are the lst'd and hst'd. Except for the Northern Lights(top left) the largest plants are the ones that are untouched.

My ladies are 22 days old this morning. We have all females and all the auto's are just starting to develop flowers. Starting from the front right to left White Dwarf, White Dwarf, and Onyx. In the front left corner are my 'Three Stooges' they are either White Widow or Urban Poison that are now re-vegging nicely. In the center row from right to left Big Devil, Big Devil, and Onyx. The back row from right to left are Big Devil, Onyx, and the good mother Northern Lights.
Topping the two Big Devils slowed their growth by a week but they are catching up now and are growing vigorously. I have been feeding Fox Farm 'Grow Big' at 1/2 tsp per gal once a week plus a 1/4 tsp per gal of Super Thrive vitamins. They really like the nutes with that schedule.

It's Christmas eve and all is well. Everything is going too smoothly. All the auto's are in flower except the big devils and they are showing pre-flowers. The big dwarf in the center is still stunted but she's coming on fast and hopefully will catch up. The seedling tray is my next grow. It will be a photo sensitive grow that will be predominantly sativa: 1 Super Lemon Haze, 2 Urban Poison, 2 Jock Horror 2 White Widow and 1 White Shark. The Auto's should be ready for harvest just about the time these will go into 12/12

Sorry about big gap in posting...my modem fried on Christmas and I just now got back online!

All is well with the plants. All are growing nice buds now and there have been no issues yet. I'll post pictures later.

Here we are at day 36.....As you all can see we are knee deep in buds! The onyx have the biggets buds so far but the White Dwarfs are coming on fast. The Big Devil is a little slower but once their buds fill out they're going to be monsters!
Topping the 2 BD's slowed them down a lot, but I think they are going to be ones with the biggest yield of all.

The Onyx that I lst'd is significantly shorter than the other two but the whole plant is going to be nothing but bud!
I had my doubts about autos when I first started but I'm liking this short turnaround time and the yield is pretty impressive so far.

The Onyx are the fastest producer so far. All three are showing fat thick colas with minimal stretch.

The White Dwarfs are in second place right now. There is more spacing between nodes and the plants are much airier.

The Big Devis are the slowest by far in bud production. They did not start flowering for a full week after the other two strains. These plants are the largest of the three, including the two I abused by topping. From the looks of them now, they look like I could get a couple ounces per plant. We'll see.
The plants in the 5 gal bucket are much bigger and fuller than the plants in the 3 gal buckets. One Onyx in a 3 gal bucket is only about 18 inches tall and the whole plant is a bud.the photos are comparing the two. Onyx. Also on the shorter Onyx, I lst'd her for a week, so that migh have stunted her some.

What I'm really finding interesting in the autos is their phenos are manifesting themselves so differently. One of the WD is indica bushy and the other WD is shows sativa dominance. All three strains show both indica and sativa traits in their leaves with many indica type and sativa type leaves on the same plant.

On a side note..Being a sativa lover, does anybody have any sativa dominant AF that they have grown and would recommend?

The Onyx buds are getting pretty thick while the Big Devil and White Dwaef continue to lag. It looks like the Onyx will finish two weeks before the other two.001.jpg007.jpg008.jpg009.jpg010.jpg011.jpg012.jpg002.jpg004.jpg005.jpg006.jpg

So from the top left Northern Lights Mom, and a White Dwarf, second row are White Dwarf, Onyx bud, onyx, onyx, freak show, onyx, and big devil

Super Cali Haze (Auto ) is a sativa dominant Auto - a mate grew it with amazing results.
Takes longer than your average Auto (over 100 days from seed)

My onyx sprouted in 4 days so they are 46 days old this morning. So far the onyx is the fastest strain of the three I'm growing. They were scheduled for harvest this Friday but probably Monday or Tuesday next week. The colas are huge, as big around as a beer can. 010.jpg
004.jpg011.jpgThese pic's were taken on the 9th....the buds are much fatter now!

Also, as you can see, the girls in 5 gal pots are going to be much bigger producers than the girl in the 3 gal pot.
