Just looking for experienced opinions on the chem gro and the veg+bloom nutes

How soluble(looking for clean ), what color (looking for as clear as possible )how ph stable is it ?

    Currently runnin rdwc

    Thanks all

I've run the chem grow 5-11-26 and was pretty stable. Similar to Jack's 5-12-26 except 2% Mg instead of Jack's 4%.

Came out like yellow Gatorade concentrated. Pretty clear diluted at the strength you'd use

    Thanks bud
This is what im looking for
What do you think of there 4 20 39
Think its a good nutrient profile?

v+b is great but its super expensive if youre going big. rdwc uses a lot of water. using at my hand water coco genetics test and its doing stellar but theres no way in hell id use it at the shop because it would cost me 30$ to fill a reservoir every few days lol. but its stable as hell in the bucket once mixed. cant say for recirculating.

if the other is like jacks then i would say go that route. i use jacks at the shop and its great. stable as hell. i dont even check my ph anymore. even my recirculating system stays steady as hell over weeks. i barely even change out the reservoirs lol

what im learning lately is simple is almost always better(within reason) and environment is THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR. jacks is easy to dial in. 600ppm start to finish. im assuming the other would be about the same. it just does the rest.

the pink shit is the v+b. that was running a little hot at that color. backed it off 100 ppm and all is well.

I was going to run with the raw.nutes from npk (they are prefoming nicely so far ) but 2lbs the cheapest i can find is around$ 70

Even though i like it i would like to find a nice BASE nutrient and then add stuff like the kelp and humic acids my self (they are prefoming but i hate seeing nute roots )

Just looking for more affordable rdwc friendly nutes(ie large amounts)

i have no idea how this shit would do in an RDWC but im testing out megacrop in tupur coco and its killin it. i have to switch because im gonna install blumats soon and since it has kelp, humic etc already in it it will clog the blumats sensitive tiny drip lines.

    2.5 days growth no co2(yet)

this stuff is dirt cheap as well. smells like dirty hooker butthole but the plants seem to love it. i know a guy doing excellent in a flood and drain table in hydroton with it. definitely worth a test but i wouldnt just buy a ton and say fuck it lol. if you want a few lbs for free just pm me.

Thanks for the feedback! Was hoping to hear from veg +bloom users.

And i agree with everything you said K .I.S.S.

yea the chem gro is only like 20 for 5 pounds .

I like the raw nutes so far although not as SOLUBLE as they say but none the less its working well but after looking at the price for how much id be using its expensive (to me atleast)

    Again thanks for the opinion

    Thats funny shit
Lol raw is kinda the same way not so hookery but still its got some "natural" in it lol
Works great but im tired of nute stain i want pearly white roots for a change
Not rot just kelpy lol like liquid karma

go tried and true jacks and calnit or if you wanna spend A LOT MORE v+b is great but not worth the difference in price at all.

i think i get 25lb bags for like 125 for part a and b. its been a while and i need to re-up so i need to look lol.

these are all jacks only. sometimes i toss in some drip clean or something if i have it but i dont buy anything else now.

i will say this though.... jacks doesnt have silica. i think thats why its steady as hell in the res. little to no upward drift, or at least just the right amount. im talking to a place in europe that makes encapsulated nanoparticle silica that doesnt alter ph and can be added to nutrient stock solutions in dosatrons etc. its super expensive but there test results on basil have peaked my interest.

    NICE
Some sweet set ups there .

Thanks for letting me know whats up with the veg plus bloom.

Yea i think im going to go with chem grow or jacks for a few runs .

You killed the veg+bloom when you said its expense wasnt worth it

If jacks sells in smaller quantity i could run a side by side with the chem gro i will check later.

As to the silica.... dont quote me on this im not a chemist lol. But supposedly the silica that npk sells is supposed to be ph nuetral
    Might want to check.

I think kelp 4less sells a knock off of raw nutes all in one mix ... unfortunately it didnt seem like a good enough of a savings to consider it

We'll see im going to finnish this current run with the raw then ill switch to somthing like jacks or chem gro and see if i notice a difference without have to do a side by side

    Thanks for the help :)

    Hey man

What made you chose the jacks over the chem gro ? same prefomance with lower cost?

they sell jacks in 5lb tubs that are reasonable. thats how i started out with it.

v+b is 20$/lb which is absurd, but like i said, works great as well and its one part, super simple. jacks is a 2 part but ive got it down to a simple as it can be. i mix by ec but now i know how many scoops of each powder for my reservoirs and just a little work to stir for a minute or 2.

im no scientist either but the description of nanoparticles makes me think that the smaller size particles are more readily available to be uptaken by the plants. im sure way more scientific than that lol but thats my simplistic explanation that my brain can process.

@DesertHydro Nice sounds like jack and or chem gro it will be :)

As far as the silica goes their description is that its a "biogenic" form of silicate not derived from potassium silicate " so its supposed to be ph nuetral and almost completly soluble

Simple is best there are times when i wish i was dummer lmao ;)

Yea thats the same with the raw cheapest i can find is 70 for 2 lbs lol which would last me a few runs mabey .

there is a bio silica called grow-sil. silica made from rice hulls. supposed to be ph neutral. i bet they are the same or similar

Grow-Sil has unique qualities that make it the best choice for providing needed silica to all types of plants: indoor, outdoor, soil and hydroponic.

    • Biogenic 99.9% pure natural silica
    • The highest concentration on the market
    • Eco-friendly production process that is energy efficient and doesn’t create any toxic waste by products
    • Sourced from rice hulls thus reducing landfilling and field burning
    • Rice hulls are abundant. Rice hulls are also a sustainable source, unlike other sources such as sea diatoms.
    • Only half as much Grow-Sil is needed for great results
    • Many products on the market are on 45% silica. Grow-Sil is 99.9% pure silica and contain no fillers or additives
    • Very high porosity
    • No heavy metals
    • Exceptional flowability
    • A neutral pH of 7.0

Its wierd i dont know if my advanced nutes went funny
or if its because i have 4 differnt seeds in the same system

but plant 1 and 4 (gusseing they are similar in pheno as this was bagseed from another grower i know) looks great
but plants 2 and 3 (definitely different pheno or genetics then the others) show me magnesium deficiency and just dont look as happy

Granted these where resurected from an outdoor thing this year .
Basically i threw some bagseed into some baby pots and left em in my womans green house...
I thought ghey didnt make it .. but at the end of summer she said you got some plants in there
And i found 4 half budded babys!

So i revegged em and basically had monster croping going on so i manifolded the shite out of them lol

Nice yea npk says the source of there silica is actually used as a microbial carrier in other people's bennie mixes. Sounds like the same or similar like you say
