Oregon growers

Those are beautiful man...It's a shame we have to be concerned with staying below a 6' fence. Stupid oregon rule made by those that know nothing about growing cannabis. I did my first scrog style grow this year and still can't keep em below the fence. I am fortunate that I have really cool neighbors. My GM strains are all slowing on the stretch and just starting to build flowers.View attachment 3986396 View attachment 3986397

Yeah..I'd love to slap some 8' boards up for more concealment. Before I retired I was a maintenance tech for a city here. Part of my responsibility were the police and fire facilities. I was then informed about the 6' fence rule and the need for them to access someones yard in an emergency, what a joke. In my 14 years at this position I'd say a couple times a year I would have to go fix up a fence that some doughnut eating roly poly PoPo couldn't clear chasing the bad guy...just knock it down.

Next week is looking crazy hot... I hope they're wrong about this. There are many places where temps like that are normal, but that seems a bit hot for this part of the state. Those would be the highest temps I've experienced in decades (and definitely the hottest since moving to Oregon in '04).

Yikes! I think I'll move my plants onto the patio for a couple of days to keep them from getting as much direct sun as they get out in the yard.
What part of OR are you in?

Well... I decided that the law would be followed, and took my plants down from over 7' to around 5' tall. Ah, the joy of poor planning. It was a drastic cut but I'm not sure how far along they are with stretching, and I don't want to have to put them through this twice.

I wonder about how much time I might lose due to shock and recovery. Hopefully they'll still finish (as advertised) by mid-to-late September. If they don't I know it's on me, I abused the crap out of these plants between late season super-cropping and this crazy last minute removal of potential bud sites. If they finish well, it will say a whole lot about the durability of the genetics. And as a side note, even if only what would have been the lower branches finish, I'll have plenty of meds to carry me to my next indoor.

Since I hit them with a lot of wounds all at once, I went ahead and used that tree repair/grafting compound I have, perhaps it will ease the recovery. I suppose sharing how we screw things up can act as a warning for others down the road. ;)

Got some early rot going, just a heads up to everyone. Could be something I did wrong, could be part of this odd season. I noticed that lots of the weed's leaves around the tree stumps near my grow are covered in PM. Maybe the cold spring we had made for some intense mold & mildew spores this year?

Greenhouse 10' tall... plants are 5' , too late to top? After this heat I am thinking about topping about 2 inch's on some of the girls. Been topping through out the summer.
.. stretch should be slowing, super cropping has been less and less. This year has been about normal if you been doing this for a few.
Think I can still top a few ? just a couple inch's .

Looks like you have plenty of headroom man. I've never hurt the girls from topping them at any stage, most of the time it seems like it over stimulates growth.
Looking forward to seeing your finish.

Damn man..it's early to be finding that shit. looks like it started at some damaged areas.
I've noticed from some of your pics, your yard looks very lush...PM loves lush. Could be tough in your location.
Your plants get any silica supplement? Really strengthens and toughens the plant.
The past couple years I've been using Agsil 16 silicate powder with my neem applications, so the plants for the most part get a shot of it once a week up through 3rd week of flower. They have definitely been healthier for it.

I've seen PM on some of my weeds in my garden area too. Not my cannabis but actual weeds lol. Filled up 5 gal bucket with dish soap and water poured over affected weeds. The next day sprayed out a bunch of neem. Haven't seen it return.

Are you suggesting silica as a foliar spray or with watering? I stopped spraying, maybe too early. I had put silica in with the Neem and BT, but only hit them with that a few times so far this season. I'll give them another shot tomorrow morning.

There are a lot of things that could be contributing to it... I'll have to think it through before next summer. Our yard is a bit on the wild side, and we did some experimental things with compost that were probably counter productive.

I've let go of all expectations for this season. The half dozen autos should all finish, giving up a few ounces of bud. Anything else that finishes will be a bonus, and that's fine. I've been phoning it in this season, so I can't be surprised.

Yeah, that's what I meant too -- the wild stuff that grows around the stuff we plant, "weeds". I'm going to mix up some extra spray this time and try and hit the whole area around the girls. Can't hurt.
