Well i ment synthetic chemicals, I am not in the hobbie of growing bacteria eather but if it is going to help my plants I am now. Outdoor is not an option for me so i want to grow as good as I can just like anyone else would. Have you done a side buy side compareson of a two clones(same mother) Gypsybush, one grown in synthetic chemicals and one grown organicaly(two hydro systems ofcourse)?

No I have never done a side by side comparison...

I have never grown hydro organically either... not pot anyways...

If you really want to learn about organics, I would recommend a thorough read on aquaponics...

I am not suggesting you grow pot that way, I am suggesting you learn about the different chemical reactions and the different organisms required for a balanced environment...

I rather use non- organic nutes, use H2O2 and keep my grow well fed and sterile.... I hate pests, macro or microscopic... lol...

I help my plants by keeping th healthy and the roots disease and rot free... and this works for me...

In the end I always say... go with what you know....

I want to do a side by side comparison so I can settle the score in my mind at least once and for all........ what nutes do you use by the way?

Cool, be sure to post the result here, so we can all see...

I use a line of nutes by NSR Greenleaves... Grow Juice, Bloom Juice and Boost Juice...

Other than water and hydrogen peroxide, that is all I use...

Not sure why these say ESU... mine say NSR...

Haha this thread has some funny shit ...

It goes to show how big of a misconception organics really are...

Everything in the world is chemical... even you!

In a hydro set up, organics means that you will have to manage a war in your res...

A whole range of bacteria effecting all sorts of chemical reactions... the possibility of it getting out of control is very real....

If you use chemicals, you are putting in your res the same chemicals that would eventually come out of the "organic war"...

Al B. Fuct said something once that I will not forget, as long as I am indoors...

"In an indoor hydro set up, the only living organism should be the Cannabis plant"...

I agree... just because I am not in the hobby of growing bacteria...

Any site about aquaponics will shed a great deal of light on "real" organics...

You can have clean chemicals... you do not have to use pesticides..or other poisons...

But I will say that pot grown outdoors, in properly prepared soil, with organic fertilizers from a good compost pile, will taste better (in my opinion) than anything else.. period... it just has more of that ... earthy tone to it...

So I would keep my plants as the only ones alive in my tent... no bugs at all for me.. big or small...

Well, I have painted the red target on my forehead...lol...

hit me back....

Gypsy...:eyesmoke:

Well, I like knowing where my chemicals are coming from
In my BMO, I know its coming from these ingredients :
High Nitrogen Bat Guano, Worm Castings, Coral Calcium, Unsulphured Molasses, Humic Acid, Beet Root Extract, Comfrey Hay Extract, Alfalfa Meal Extract
I dont like having chemicals that were slapped together by some jackass in a lab somewhere who thinks he knows what hes doing
That is why chemicals and organics are different....its like comparing home-made food to that crap you get at mcdonalds drive through....yeah its food, but its certainly not REAL food, and you certainly have no idea of the origins or quality of the ingredients....

Sorry dude, I have a lot of respect for you... but I am not smoking Mcdonald's buds...

It is almost offensive to hear that my hard work and dedication is talked down like that...

Unless you make your own compost, you are in the same boat... and although it does sound like you do that... I very much doubt you are aware of every chemical reaction in your compost pile.... one particle of "dust" from something else, and your whole world of chemistry has changed...

Man made (chemicals and everything else are actually re-organized) are not the only ones that can harm you... go stand next to a volcano and you will see plenty of natural toxins...

My point is poison can come from both ends...

Organic does not necessarily mean what people understand it to be...

A true organic farm will put out better quality etc... but I bet only 10% of what is labeled organic, really is...

my 2 cents man...

Don't get mad at me... but do hit me back..lol...

theres a massive difference between the taste in chemically grown bud and organically grown, regardless of curing and flushing
That's extremely true. Plus, organic grown ANYTHING tastes, smells, looks, and (in weeds case) smokes much cleaner/smoother. Plus, it's just healthier over-all for you and the plant.

Plenty of people use organic hydro, so there's no reason why it would be bad to do. True connoisseur cannabis is never grown with chemicals, no matter how long you flush or cure for. A case for not using organic in hyrdo just doesn't sound reasonable to me.
So much bullshit from many posters but I only quoted these two.

Congrats. I'm pretty much down with everything Ghost420 said, and I feel like you made the best choice.

Man, I now have even more respect for you...

You live in a world of wars... and you can't even see it (the war I mean...)...

and you make sure that BOTH sides win...

In hydro, without the help from mother nature to help control all this...

Fuck man, I know it can be done... by both knowledge and luck...

I am just too dumb and don't feel lucky at all.... lol....

Cheers mate...

Wouldnt "organic" frets have a lot more micro nutrients, Stuff that is in the things its is derived from, rather then just a couple of chemicals like in synthetic chemicals(n-p-k, I know its not just that). and if so wouldn't this add to the complexity of your bud (smoke, taste, high)?

Synthetic fertilizers will have as much of everything that the manufacturer cares to put in there...

Macro or micro....

Basically, in layman's terms...

organic nutrients have been processed by micro organisms... they eat it and then they shit it... and then the plants have access...

Synthetic means that, in a lab somewhere, these chemicals were arranged without the help of micro organisms.. but rather, built off of a "blue print"...

but they are the same elements... combine 2 particles H and 1 of O and you have water, whether in a cloud or the lab...

Natural homemade organic fertilizer may well be lacking in some nutrients, if not balanced....

All I am saying is that there is a lot more to this organic thing than just putting a sticker on a tomato or your buds....

Wow...

Who would of thought that this thread would of turned into this cock measuring competition when all I asked was what a good organic hydro nute was...

If any of you have ever had organic apples compared to non-organic apples, you would realize that there is a huge difference...

You can argue over semantics all day, but comparing organic anything to non-organic anything, organic will always win...

And some more ellipses for good measure...

...

Gypsy I am a chemestry major, but thanks for your basic lesson, the reactions that go on do not concern me in nutes the products that come out do. So that means organic nutes have more micro, macro nutes in them.

Sorry..

meant no disrespect...

I am a big fan of organics, but with a little bit of aquaponics knowledge, I am not sure that it is the best way for a simple hydro grow, in my opinion...

I am too inexperienced and too much can go wrong...

Also, I didn't even graduate high school and I don't read much, so I am a very ignorant person...

Please, do correct me when I am wrong...

But when you say... "organic nutes have more micro, macro nutes in them." ... it makes me wonder if a person in the lab couldn't "install" all of those substances...

I have a friend who is a chemist... he looks for things in nature and synthesizes them in the lab... very complex stuff...

ok.. I said from the beginning I painted the red target on my head... so this is what I was looking for...

I see great potential for learning in this thread... even if it is a hijack.. lol... sorry...

Oh.. and thanks for keeping it polite... I hate people that feel they must be rude to prove me wrong...

You guys rock..

Cheers... oh and hit me back...

no problem , they might be able to put all of "it" in a bottle, but im not sure of every element or compound in organic nutes, and it might not be cost effective. I see it like this Humans are like organic nutes and robots are like Synthetic nutes, sure we can make them but they dont have all the details(elements & compounds) that make it Perfect.

well the bmo I use costs 6.25 a bottle. Pretty sure thats better than any chemical nutes ive found
I also know that bmo contains the majority if not all of the vitamins, minerals, and trace elements that Mary needs to thrive, as well as good bacteria and Mycho fungi
I also add Superthrive just for good measure

I had some of the BMO plant tonic for my last soil grow. That stuff is pretty chunky. Would you have to strain it before putting it in your hydro? I'm looking for something a little more newbie, haha, where all you have to do is open, measure, and pour. Is humboldt nutrients hydro line all organic? And what about Earth Juice?
