Originalsensible. Not working out at all.

Awhile back I ordered some seeds as a test order. Very simple/very easy, a 3pk of their feminized pineapple slick. I paid, they shipped, the package arrived. Not too impressed with their packaging, but hey, it arrived and I don't think I waited more 2-3 weeks. I opened it up and my seeds were in a little packet in between a couple pieces of bubble wrap inside of their high-quality mini-catalog. It also contained a small ziplock bag containing 2 seeds with a label that simply stated "Soul Breeders Silver Widow". Bonus! says I. A freebie is typically never a bad thing, right?

I did a pretty thorough examination of the product and was immediately concerned. The fem pineapple slick seeds were very light colored without the slightest bit of marking anywhere on the seeds. It was almost as if they looked bleached (if that makes any sense). In addition, they appeared undersized. I've seen small seeds in the past that hit it out of the park for folks, so I thought maybe I'm just over thinking it, and went on. The freebie seeds looked rock solid. Good sized beans with the obvious darker maturity that I was used to seeing.

A couple of weeks ago I filled up 5 solo cups with FFOF, poked a little hole in the dirt and dropped a seed into each hole (marking each cup with which seed it was as I went along). Lightly misted the dirt with a sprayer, and put them into my germ box (converted mini-fridge with 140mm axial fan on a temp controller, heated germ mat, and 4 installed CFL's). The lights were kept off, the mat kept everything warm, and a couple of times over the next few days the fan kicked on for a moment or two if the temp ever got out of range.

Day 3 a silver widow popped, day 4 a silver widow popped. Now +two weeks out and all three of the seeds I PAID FOR remain DOA. I emailed the company, but have not received any response.

I would walk away from this company and not do any business with them. Freebies are generally great, but if I can't count on them to provide me with a viable product that they advertised & I sent them money for, then the freebies could end up being random bagseed.

To recap: I have a bad product (lost $), no sprouts (lost $), could be growing males (lots of lost $ worth of resources), and no communication with the company (lost trust). This hobby is all a gamble, so I get that it's all in the game. That being said, I recommend using another vendor. Increase your odds of playing a fair game as, I feel cheated.
