Oscillating Fan Acting Up?

Hi Everyone,

This morning when I got up my fan was off. I turned it on and put it on high, and it turned off. It works on low, but if I put it to med or high it turns off. I bought it a couple of months ago, it's a Honeywell fan. Any ideas what is causing this? I've had fans in the past do the opposite because they were getting old, they would only operate on high and not on low and eventually gunk up and stop, but never this. Any help is appreciated!

Sounds like the switch is shot. I believe Honeywell is good about replacing faulty junk? Good luck.
In the past, I've taken the 3-speed switch(es) from burned out box fans and, with any luck, the wires will match up and the consumer can replace the faulty one w/the robbed parts.
