out growing grow room

my skunk haze plants have almost out grown my grow area they have been flowering for just over 5 weeks and still growing over 5ft tall. 1 more inch and i will have to take it out my closet and put it in my bedroom. I will then turn my lamp at an angle so the whole plant gets light. Anyone got any other suggestions or solutions dont want to cut the plant and take the top forming buds still got 6 to 7 weeks to go. I thought of bending it to a 45 angle applying pressure at the middle of the plant.. Then tie it on to a stick. Dont know if that would work not brave enough to try it. So will just move it out of the closet unless someone can help me and got any good effective ideas. Would cutting of 6 inches off the plants increase the flowering period would it stunt the plants flowering growth. And if so by how long roughly.

have you got any way of moving it out away from the light?? so the plant will lean in, toward the light as it grows??? that might get ya a coupla extra inches of growth...
youre kinda limited to what you can do tieing it down...if youre careful you could poss use lst style tieing to pull it over..

the one time i had to set the pot in the furthest corner of my grow space,on a tilt, wedged it in real secure and that gave me the final 7" i needed...just be sure to put some supprt or something around the stem if its top heavy

yeah, that may work but unfortunatly you have to start training the plant to grow short from the beginning. 5ft. is humungus for an indoor. its obvious you havent topped your stalk. be very gentile, but bending your stalk is actually considered good practice. you have the right idea. just bend gradually (a little bit more every day). and yes tieing it down is a good idea as well as frosties idea, but it sounds like with your setup it would only help minutly. hope you learned your lesson, chop the top early next time if you got limited heighth. what you loose in heighth, you will gain in growth tips

ive bent it and its doing fine the fan is making it sway back and forth

its 6 foot now and stil growing 4 weeks left til harvest i might end up with a 7 plus foot monster
