Trying to figure out which way to go this summer in my backyard. Was going to throw a couple 15 gallon pots in the back yard with some HSO Blue Dream Feminized seeds i bought off Attitude. Was gonna stick to my original formula of 3 bags Happy Frog mixed with 1 bag Ocean Forest. With some extra Perlite thrown in or some hydroton. Nothing too crazy. Been wanting to experiment with a coco grow. Have done a few DWC bucket grows but never touched coco. Will growing in Coco outdoors in Central Valley California be a difficult task? What are you mixing with your outdoor Coco? Any insight in coco outdoors please let me know. Thank you

I grew outdoors in Coco, the plants grew very fast and seemed to love it. It will definitely work, just make sure you're on top of things...I got caught off guard by a deficiency of some sort a few weeks into flower that I wasn't able to correct. The plants survived, but they weren't healthy at chop time.. But that was my first grow and I had no experience to work from, I'm sure an experienced grower would have no major issues.

Never grown in coco, but I heard someone say if you let it dry out all the way, it will fuck your ph. So make sure it doesn't dry out.

I just mix a couple bricks into my compost based soil I make. I find it better as an amendment to my soil then growing alone with it.
