Outdoor growing... Help basics please!

Ok, well I've grown inside abit before , But next year it would be alot... easier for me to grow outside. (due to shared house).

I live in the countryside (South of England).. For miles around. Also I know the local area very well. I am not too worried about being caught (Not the write words to use), and can worry about that part of my plan later.

My plan is....

Buy about 40 seeds, and sprout them in my room, like normal, next after the last frost, when they have afew leave start planting them in the surrounding hills; behind bushes etc, stinging nettles.

Then I plan to go back after afew months... and crop them.

My question is will they survive on there own? Any tips and pointers? Cheers!

Well, when all is said & done it is a weed. They won't have the best growing conditions and they will have to suvive the odd animal wanting a nibble but something should survive.

since its england it probably would get enough water. but im not too sure.

buy some osmocote 14-14-14 time release pellets. they last three months and are made to last long. they will feed your plants the perfect amount. if you want to go organic, chicken manure is a very good time release fertalizer. i like using pelletalized dry chicken manure. i would suggest foxfarm box nutrients but you cant get them in england i think. "bonkers" is a good strain for your climate. you should cultivate the soil and spread fertalizer and let nature do the rest. DO NOT OVER-FERTALIZE. OWE AND BUGS ARE A BIG DEAL. get some strong bug repellants

Interesting that you mention Stinging Nettles, I have a plant growing amongst a patch of those right now, I've come to learn that stinging nettle grows only in nitrogen rich areas and it seems quite helpful to have this type of soil enrichment when growing ganja, I just posted a thread about this a couple of days ago, just be stealthy about your grow and try to start your babies in April, acclimate them and then plant outside, stinging nettle and other indigenous plants may crowd out the seedlings in the first few weeks so perhaps cutting the other weeds back when possible will help, in the beginning stages I wouldn't be worried because little plants are difficult to identify, once they catch up to the local vegetation let 'em go and you'll see they'll win the battle as soon as they get established, south of London can be rather rainy so choose a hardy variety with Indica dominance and you'll be fine, check out the thread I posted about stinging nettle, I'm from Northern Illinois but live in Northern Italy now and stinging nettle is everywhere around here!
