Outdoor LST & Topping

Good morning everyone

This is my first time reaching out on a thread so take it easy on me with the rookie lines.

First off let me tell you guys about my grow. I have roughly 30 plants that were started indoors under a HPS and then moved outdoors after roughly 70 days of indoor veg.

*side note, about 15 of the 30 were topped during indoor veg*

The Angels were transferred outdoors into holes and choked up halfway onto each plant to continued veg until October using a household mix of pro soil from a local greenhouse.
Anyhow, I would like to know how long do you more experienced growers wait after a transplant to an outdoor enviornment to start practicing some LST (Low Stress Training) on your little angels. I don't want to act to soon and create more shock and stress to the plane. This being my first timer I would like to be fully educated on the topic before practicing. & I would also like to know if I should continue topping the Angels while they veg or only practice LST.

IF you do have your own personal method of these techniques please share with us, because this topic clearly involves creativity and there isn't actually a correct or incorrect way of doing (so it seems).

Thanks for reading and I hope this thread becomes useful for other people searching on this topic.

Wait about a week after transplanting before starting lst and/or topping to ensure plants become well established. You can either only lst the plants or combine it with topping, its really up to your personal preference.

When you bend branches down budding sites recieve more light which means larger buds. Topping results in more branches each of which can be bent. I would combine lst with topping but its up to you.

Topping and LST'ing are like the proper use of trekking poles. As long as the pointy end is down, it's all personal preference from there. I have been known to go ahead and lean my babies over when I transplant. Here are a couple of Peach that I LOB'ed {Lean Over, Baby} at transplant.

This ugly little Peach was transplanted and leaned over at night, and had already straightened up by daylight the next morning. I've had to move the branch a couple of times since then as it grows.

UPDATE: Yeah this shit works. I guess it's true, at the end of the day it's a weed. Stop thinking your plants are so fragile, when I discovered how well this worked I immediately said fuck it and "super cropped" and these ones are coming along even better already.
