Outdoor Micro-grow Lemon OG & GG#4

So, when I say micro, I mean indoor size 2-2.5 feet tall, with the sun as my HID, lol! After having three of my four indoor seeds turning out to be male this summer, I ended up getting a couple of clones in early July 8th to throw in the grow area, with the plan to flower them small and taking a shot a creating some fem'd seeds.

After doing some searching online and not finding many late season outdoor grows using a very minimal set-up, I thought I'd post my experience up here.

A couple of days after bringing them home I saw spider mites and immediately evicted those ladies. I threw them into a couple 7 gallon smart pots with some light organic amendments, found a nice southward facing spot with full sun until about 3pm, treated them with a little neem oil, topped them a few times, and let them do their thing.

This was July 11th.

Around the beginning of August they were getting overgrown by the blackberry bushes and were sharing the mite population, so I moved them to back patio where they now get full sun from about 11am to 7pm with the hours growing shorter as we speed into fall.

Last week, I pollinated a few of the buds with some of the fem'd Big Diesel pollen (using the colloidal silver method) from my recent indoor harvest, which should make for a couple of interesting hybrids.

Respectful comments welcome. :)

The girls are coming along nicely and are starting to pack on the trichomes in spite of their little eight legged parasites. Here they are enjoying some afternoon/evening sun after spending the last few days hiding from the rain in their little hoop house. The GG#4 is looking to finish before the Lemon OG. I just hit them with some neem oil hoping that plus the cooler night temps will send the mites packing.

Very nice! And, I bet! :)

I can't wait to see how the seeds turn out from these two girls. The big diesel has been some fine smoke. I think her fem'd pollen with the GG#4 and the L-OG are going to be tasty. :D

Here's some more close ups of the buds. First is the GG, second is the Lemon OG and the little one resting on the dowel is one of the flowers I pollinated.

noticing any seed production at all?
Funny you should ask, I was posting up a picture of one the pollinated buds as you were adding the reply. :)

The difference in how the the calyxes are forming is crazy. The buds that were pollinated are starting to look pregnant. lol

Here we are at about week six of flower. The bud growth really started to pickup after I realized they were not liking the lights my neighbor leaves on outside at night, and started moving them into my shed at dusk. The seed development is doing well too.
