Paitient change form "Add Caregiver" timeline? Lately...

Has anyone recently been added as a caregiver? I know this question will not have a concrete answer, but the paperwork was sent to Lansing over 4 weeks ago, the check for $35 was cleared in less than 10 days. I read somewhere, that change forms for established patients(ie adding a caregiver) can take quite some time to fully process, because they take a back seat to NEW patient cards being issued, creating lengthy backlogs...
Anybody know if that is true? I'm not too concerned really, Id just like to have the card in my hands.
Anybody have any recent experience with the pace of this scenario? I haven't called, I don't see any real benefit to that, I felt things would arrive in the mail by now, considering how promptly the check was clear LOL.
Even after 5+ weeks, would calling LARA provide any update whatsoever? Just curious really.
The patient was his own CG, with plant possession, then submitted the change form to add me as the CG, keeping plant possession intact, since I currently live with him. We figured the plant possession should remain his, so that when I move, the plants wont have to move.

Honestly, you won't know till you know. If the paperwork is spot on you'll get it soon...like, in the next mail drop off. It's weird, but when people post these questions, they end up getting them pretty quick after. Count business days. They cash the check even if there is a mistake or something. If there was a mistake, they use every damn day they can. check the law or admin procedures for how long they have. You can call them, sure. They are nice usually but id wait a hot minute with your timeline. No updates from them. Card or rejection shows up. Good luck. Fuck nazis

its an average of about 6 weeks regardless of the Card.
I'd agree with this. I've signed up two new patients in the last three months, one already had a card and she added me as her caregiver and the other was just applying for her new card, and both took about six weeks

Do I go to the doctor that gave me my recommendation and purchase the 99 plant limit recommendation or is that a scam and i need to go directly to a state office ?
