Pandora - day 76 from seed

First time grower. I have Pandora auto in the same tent with 2 photoperiods, so she has been under 12/12 light since Day 27. Perhaps that has stunted her growth because we are on day 76 from seed, and she does not appear to be ready. Grow reports indicate this plant should be ready to harvest in 60-75 days from seed (indoors). You think she needs another 2 weeks or so?

I think if the trichomes are all cloudy and some turning amber, you should harvest, because thats how you know
That is only one indicator in my opinion. And some of my strains resin glands don't turn cloudy so much.

I don't look at trichomes until the buds stop expanding and most of the white pistils are receded.

Also the plant and flowers get a "done"look to them. And a done feel. Kind of a glassy feel to the buds as the trichomes oxidize and harden a bit.

know what I mean Chem?

I do know exactly what you mean. its just that when all that gels for me here...... so do the trichs look as described...and then I look at the date written on the tag.... its time to harvest. I get lucky every time:P
I find it always takes at least 2 weeks more than breeder recommendations for most plants to be truly finished. I am seeking full terpene and cannabanoid profiles. But the resin glands are never degraded by then or anything. And my plants are green. New blooms of clear ones appear as new calyx grow.

I actually read a lot of grow reports on the strain, and they indicated 60-75 days from seed. But they also may have provided more light. Mine clearly needs more time, as at least 50% of pistils are still white and standing up straight. Looking at trichomes under microscope, they are mostly still clear with a few cloudy and a couple of tips beginning to turn amber.

76 from seed .... Chop off 30-40 days of that ( seed / veg / preflower ) ...
That leaves you flowering for about 46 days at the most of ACTUAL flowering.
( close to week 7 ) ... Run her longer at least 2 weeks .

Breeder estimates are bullshit ... They are under OPTIMAL CONDITIONS to get that time frame described. ( controlled lab type grows ) .

For the rest of us ... Each will take as long as it takes. Autos are unpredictable , ( sizes , structure , feeding , health ). I ignore the breeder hype - once it transitions to flowering
THEN is where i begin " counting " weeks in flowering. You are in the swelling stage , pistil growth is still happening , monitor ONLY the triches ( forget the amber bullshit ) , look for trichcomes that are full and opaque . Plus you are in the beginning of leaf fade which is another sign that it is getting closer.

Autos MAY or MAY NOT turn amber ( certain strains ) , especially when you get to dominate crosses it may go either way. Stick with the usual maturing timing you would do with regular photos .... Patience will pay off.

Thanks for this thorough and thoughtful reply. Great advice.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments. Very helpful. Gonna let her continue (under the care of my husband) until I reassess after I am home from my trip on Feb 16/17.
